We had a cat hanging around our house that we figured was feral. Turns out, after seeing him for almost a year, he turned out to be a neutered male Manx. He adopted us and still prefers to eat outside and he’s an excellent mouser.
We used to have a tabby Manx many years ago. Kitty was her name. My brother found her walking down the road back in 1974 and brought her home. She was a kitten at the time. Anyone who's been around cats long enough knows about being chosen. Well, she chose me. She loved all of us, but I was the one. I swear she could understand me when I spoke to her. She was put down in 1986, because she was physically breaking down and obviously not having a good time of it. That hurt. But she's in a better place, and one day I'll get to see her again, along with all our other fur babies.
Three months ago my husband and I rescued a litter of 5 kittens from under a neighbor's house. The litter included 2 gingers (one of them a manx), a gray and white tabby, a gray manx and a tortoiseshell. Having wanted a tortie all my life, keeping the tortie was a no brainer. We discovered the gray manx had an odd gimp so we chose to keep her. The other three we fostered out. With lots of research and patience Bunny (named because of her hopping gait) is active, happy and thriving. We think one reason is because we kept the two. We wish we had kept all 5 but already had 7 adult cats we had rescued over the last 6 years. We adore our little Bunny and feel so blessed to have her and her sister in our fur family!😻
I have a longie Manx. His name is Sebastian. I was fortunate because he was abandoned, but the Vet confirmed he was indeed a pure bread long tail Manx.
I have a rumpy her name is spring, they came from my uncles black Manx, she has sister that has a tail her name is June bug! They are the best, nicest, loyal, smartest cats I’ve ever seen! I wasn’t a cat person till I got the girls! They are very spoiled lol
Does your rumpy have an issue with incontinence and feces elimination control? I rescued a rumpy who's also a tuxedo. SO SWEET but he has the aforementioned issues.
All our Manx and main coons were indoor and outdoor. Extremely good at being outside and tend to be able to take care of themselves if no other predators present. Though they will let you know about the missing of meals and being away for more than a couple days. They do make excellent pest control, bringing many offerings to the door.
My Manx has my favorite qualities of a dog and cat in 1 package 📦 Greeting everyday and chats when I get home. He does probably 20 exactly predictable things every day. Only exception is that he will have 1 napping spot for 7 days, then finds a completely different spot for exactly 7 days
I acquired 3 manx cats all strays. Beware for UTIs and digestive issues. Get a prescription urinary care and intestinal cat food. Royal Canin gastrointestinal fiber response and Purina urinary prescription.

My Rumpy Pita had a longy brother named Ike. Sadly he crossed the rainbow bridge a few years ago. We still have Pita.

The black one looks like my 12-year old Rumpy Pita.
For one a rfeal manx has wisps off their ears and high hind legs. They are a smaller in size and can jump high.
