What Michel means is that Yesung doesn't have the best technique when he sings and strains his voice a lot, which gives great emotion, but hurts the vocal chords. That's why he had vocal nodules.

To this day Kyuhyun still watching yesung singing in awe. They learned about vocal a lot from yesung when they were just debuted, especially kyuhyun. Someone said this in a program that Heechul hosted. I forgot which program.
