The dude might have had a police scanner to monitor Trump’s movements in Florida. The point being that in addition to your point that Trump golfs, it’s also hard to conceal his movements.

I’m lost on how one goes from catastrophic failure (secret service letting someone fire multiple shots from a few 100 yards away in broad daylight) to secret service seeing a scope in a bush and acting on it???

Felon in possession of a firearm carries a 10 year sentence with the feds, that's the high end of that charge alone, mitigating circumstances can lower it, but he's had prior firearms related charges, and the fact he was where he was proves intent...so yeah, I think he's smoked.
Also the feds have a point system and if certain charges add up they can site Armed Criminal Career status, 15yrs starting, but the state of Florida has him and they have a Life sentence under similar guidelines.

If the feds weren't involved, why did the feds block DeSantis from arresting and charging this man. We are tired of getting no info from the feds on any of these shootings that they have handled. We never get answers from them.

If there is a car in a big parking lot for one night, do you truly expect someone to get it towed right away? I guess all the times people uber/taxi home after drinking is illegal since they have to leave their cars parked in a parking lot overnight.

Last time I heard the Democrats screaming about gun laws...open carrying an "assault rifle" across state lines as a prohibited person is also a crime. Funny how they don't cry about guns when they are the shooters.

Being stalked was my own extremely frustrating lesson in the counter-intuitive nature & inherent dichotomy of the law regarding 'anticipatory' actions...
