"Xexyz" has a completely different title in Japanese: "Turtle's Repayment: Urashima Legend". Urashima Tarō is a Japanese fairy tale that all kids in Japan know.
Good thing they changed the title for American kids and gamers or nobody would get such a reference, since it's a different country and different culture.
“S” will be its own marathon Xexyz is a really fun game. A game that shouldn’t be that fun, yet it is. I would borrow this one from a cousin over and over
I remember seeing the commercials for Xexyz (it can be pronounced how pronounced it, "Zex-ees" or as the commercials pronounced it, "Zex-iss"), I never played this game but it looks awesome.
If you did letters like B, I or S, those videos would be very crazily long! You did 3 X-letter games here; maybe do a top 3 or top 5 games beginning with a letter.
@swagar All good points, and thank you for providing an informed and logical defense. That said, these visuals are far beneath the artistic standard, even for inexperienced western artists struggling to express themselves in 8-bits of limited pixel space. Sunsoft were a state of the art Japanese developer, masters of that medium, working in a higher resolution than the 7800 vs. Jack's budget operation that suffered from serious talent drain.
Xenophobe at the Arcades is where it is at!! Xevious is a classic shooter...Love that game! Never played Xexyz will have to put that on my list to play on my NES tonight! Thanks again for the video John!
Xenophobe on the NES was... disappointing, shall we say? The audio in Xevious on the NES is nauseating, imo. Xexyz is an acid trip. Game is insane, bit of a gem.
Wow never played that last one. I did see the cover several times but the name looked silly so I never bothered. Must've been subconsciously relating it to xaxxon or whatever that game was. Looked cool though. Reminds me of Zillion 2: Tri-Formation
Xenophobe is one of those games the 7800 version is the better looking & playing game so IMO Xenophobe really could & should have been much better on the NES
Xexyz looks like a fun game. I’ll have to keep an eye out for a Xenophobe machine. I had the NES game when I was a kid, and I wasn’t a fan to say the least.
I wish you'd go back to your old cart building videos and do updates with currently available hardware like boards and programmers. All of your old videos, most of the equipment hardware and supplies arent available anymore.
This is not the "x" games I thought we'd be talking about. I need to get out more
😒
Same here. Looks like John is running out of interesting things to make videos about.
Or.... YOU could make the video about Bubble Bath Dudes
You looking for the "Every 'H' Nintendo Game" vid
Same. I need a life.
Oh, games that start with "X." Which, uh, is why I'm here anyway. Yes. That's it.
Ngl I was expecting games like Bubble Bath Babes lmao
it would have been a much more entertaining video.
Peek a boo poker

I kept thinking, you forgot X-Men, but the full title is The Uncanny X-Men.
The Letter X on the NES with John Riggs
5:08 to they look like the Monolith from 2001: A space odd Odyssey
Since I have a mix view of the NES,probably the arcade version of Xenophobe
“S” will be its own marathon
Xexyz is a really fun game. A game that shouldn’t be that fun, yet it is. I would borrow this one from a cousin over and over
"Every 'Super' Nintendo Game" needs it's own video.
I remember seeing the commercials for Xexyz (it can be pronounced how pronounced it, "Zex-ees" or as the commercials pronounced it, "Zex-iss"), I never played this game but it looks awesome.
Never even heard about Xexyz until you brought it up on a hidden gems episode. Now I own it, thanks John. Keep up the great work. Cheers
I remember Xevious being on the Sega Master System that my cousins had. At least... it looked like Xevious.
Xenophobe’s arcade version was the best.
darn i thought you were gonna reveal the strip poker games
No official Nintendo seal of approval.
😒
@@SAM-ru4vx implying the thousands of H games on the switch's eshop do have it
Our Burger Chef's did not have arcade machines... our Dairy Queens did
Xexyz absolute masterpiece
Xevious made me want to ask you for a 'ten worst color palettes in a NES game' video!
The tiles in Xevious are the monoliths from 2001.
If you did letters like B, I or S, those videos would be very crazily long! You did 3 X-letter games here; maybe do a top 3 or top 5 games beginning with a letter.
I've always wondered how many games were officially released for NES. Where could I find an official list? Ty!
The 7800 version of Xenophobe is far better than the NES port. There's no excuse for it to look this bad.
Also, I was born in Yakima. Cool to hear it get a shout out.
In its defense, the NES port came out a year earlier, and the 7800's hardware was a lot more capable than its lukewarm game library would suggest

Man, that's flagrant false advertising! - Otto
If you don't mind I will ask you a few questions where are the PC shops in London. It is better to give a video of it
Hey riggs i remember burger chef smd xevious was my favorite 7800 game back in the day
I don't see Bubble Bath Babes anywhere...
Dang - wrong type of "X" games!!!! Still a good video though...
So Burger Chef was where Taj Palace is now?
Great video 👍

LJN X-Men?
@@SAM-ru4vx - uncounted because it's "Uncanny X-Men". Surprised me too.

No X-Men games is surprising!!!
Xenophobe in the arcade had weird flight sticks for the controllers... It was weird, but fun. Lost many quarters to it
Xenophobe is one of those games the 7800 version is the better looking & playing game so IMO Xenophobe really could & should have been much better on the NES
Do all the SNES games that start with "S". 😄
How do i retract my view
Brought to you today by the letter 'X'.
Today's program was brought to you by the letter X.
My local laundromat had Xenophobe. Way back in the 80s.
Xexyz looks like a fun game.

Doesn’t Winnie the Pooh come out in the game Xexyz?
😂😂😂😂😂
FaXanadu for $100 Alex ...
No Panesian games on this list.
Xevious = Tiger-Heli
I was expecting some naughty games. How misleading! 😅
X-cellent! Are you going to go through the nes alphabet? X is easy, not too many titles there, something like S probably like 50+ games.
Cool
Talking about games is like Mexican food. Same ingredients different configuration
No guacamole
Extra red salsa
Plus cilantro
You're running out of ideas aren't you? Just like your buddy metal Jesus
😊
Oh? Some 8-bit Dating Sims for the NES that never got a port.
Oh... Alphabetically.
