Unfortunately I’ve never been able to see him live with the Gaithers. Only on his solo tour, which is still awesome. But I mourn the thought I’ll never be able to see that live!
One my favorite vocal band songs and you’re right it’s the perfect opening song. If you go back and watch again, the guy in the front row in the tan jacket with both arms up at the end is Larry Gatlin, country music great and a really good friend of Bill Gaither. He and his wife were at this concert in San Antonio that night.
Just discovered your channel, and loved the fact that you were reacting to my all time favorite singer, David Phelps. I have had the pleasure of seeing (and meeting) him many times, and he is so humble, so nice, so funny, and the Spirit just seems to ooze out of his body! Thank you for reacting to David, and, of course, the GVB. I just subscribed and look forward to your next reaction. On a fun note...you look like my oldest grandson (same hair style, the mustache, and the eyes). 😊
Thank you Linda! I appreciate you becoming a follower of the channel and glad you enjoy the content. I agree with everything. You said here. He’s been touch by the spirit to use his talents for god. What an awesome thing to see.
I saw this line up in concert in 2012, they started with this song, in the dark, they came on stage in the shadows, I didn't see anyone with curly hair, I started to panic that David wasn't there, then they started to sing and I heard "The Voice", everything was ok. He had cut his hair for the "Classic" concert. I prefer David's curls.
Song suggestions: Let Freedom Ring (GVB/David), Song for Sinners (David), Hello Beautiful (David), O Holy Night (David and the Gaither Homecoming group. He's wearing a green sweater), I Have Nothing (David, age-- 52 yrs old), There Is A River (David/GVB), Live Like a King, and Nessum Dorma (not sure if thats spelled correctly). Thank you!
My observation, this lineup are unselfish singers. The David, Guy & Mark lineup is as well. I notice in the "Sinner Saved by Grace" video it's as if Guy realized he could step out. I think David causes them all to step it up & step out. Brings out the best in them all.
I would agree. David seems to bring out talent of the others. I also think when he’s apart of it, he uses his amazing musical talents to make the arrangements better as well
David Phelps - End Of The Beginning (LyricVideo/Live At Carnegie Hall New York, NY /2002). Mr. Murray are you also a born again, blood bought Christian?
He's back to a solo career now and has been for the last few years. Check out Stories and Songs Vol 1 and 2. Typical David outstanding and exceptional vocals, arrangements, etc. Songs from Freedom would be great to react to as that is a solo album also, specifically Ghost Town. BTW this was my least favorite style of David's hairstyles he has had over the years. This was many years ago and I don't think he had it very long. With naturally curly hair, I'm sure he's always had to be creative!!
In make up before they go on stage the hairdressers always try to fix David's hair. I think that is what happened here. He usually does it himself because no one can manage it.
Every time we’ve seen David with The Gaithers or solo in concert they’re wonderful!

I Have Nothing …Amazing!
Oh good call!! That’s gonna be the next one for David!
This is one of my favorite GVB songs. David is the best. Please react to Let Freedom Ring
Same! I’ll add that to the list!
It is the Reunited video. I own it. GREAT Message awesome music.
Good call. Thank you for the feedback.
His hair is so naturally curly that he probably just needs it styled to whatever works at the time…. Best singer around 😆😆😆😆😆
Heavens Shore Star strangled banner, hello beautiful,Hosanna, song suggestion! David’s list of great songs are endless!
Heavens shore is my fav!
Love this. One of my favorites. Would love for you to do more GVB and even current GVB.
Thank you Kim! I will definitely as some GVB into the mix for you! Thanks for the feedback.
I agree with you😊❤

That’s funny about the hair hahah!
@@joshmurrayreactions they sang "Please Forgive Me", it was outstanding. That's a great one to react to.
Thank you! I’ll check that one out. Is it from this concert?
@@joshmurrayreactions the video is from a Jason Crabb concert.
Awesome! Thank you

Thank you for the recommendation and feedback! I’ve seen volume 1 but not 2 yet. So excited to watch!!
No, I really didn't like David's hair in this video but the song is all Davids. That voice is unstoppable.
So true! Haha thanks for sharing
