So beautiful thank you. That’s one of my favorite songs. In 1978 my brother had a music box created for me that plays this song.
He recently passed away having never married and no children. I am going through things he’s kept for years and find a receipt for the last installment payment on this music box 41 years later. He was my best friend and I struggle with him not being with us any longer. As I’m looking at videos of pretty birds talking and the dogs playing carefree - I find this video. I thank you from my heart for making me smile.

So strange, I was feeling nostalgic and started listening to the songs of my early childhood. This song has always been in general one of my favorites from Bread. These songs influenced me musically, long before I went down guitar nerd lane. I was literally looking for the chord charts for this song and saw your totally awesome cover of this song. Well done!

I think that Jethro is correct. That is pretty much her natural sound, she doesn't have to force it. Listen to her singing other songs that are not Carpenter's songs. She sounds a bit like Karen covering those other singers. I enjoyed the video of her singing a Carpenter's song with Richard present. She had her own piano player there, but Richard listened and liked what he heard. Ruby, it is okay if someone else has a voice that sounds like Karen's ---not blasphemous. I was a very solid Carpenter's fan and I am happy to hear Shane sing.
