I think I saw this car on the highway yesterday on my way to Ocala. It had a 1320 sticker on the back windshield, was lowered and I think it was cammed.

@@blakie7732 That’s a safe tune … even the weakest procharger is rated for 825hp crank. The stock z06 can’t handle more than what they did (stock axles will snap, transmission, bottom end, etc.). But if the future owner wants to build it up it can handle way more power.
Considering the fact that I am 66 years old and have owned approximately 40 cars and the most I've paid for a car is $3500 , yeah that still sounds crazy to me.

I just rolled 50 xxx (kms), bought at 19 xxx (kms). I could never imagine selling it. Such a treat to drive and own one of these. It's been on my wall since they came out in high school.

I used to live a quarter mile from Procharger, awesome people there! I started learning how to weld after hours there.
Great jobs guys. Erik is the man. He helped me a lot when I was running my D1SC and even gave me the opportunity to test out the D1X on my C6 before it hit the market.
I worked in signs for a long time when I was a kid. You powder coat first, then cut the design. Paint the blank, then mask and blast, and so on. It is a really cool process to get that result we love to see.
Really is an incredible company. What great video awesome to see the process and passion these guys have going into both these products.

I bought my 2001 with 15,000 miles in new condition too. It had the spare plate covers eta wrapped in plastic still, new car scent and everything. It made 352/348 bone stock with a paper air filter on a Dynojet. SAE correction and max smoothing.
“Woosh woosh, boost boost” is now the new pronunciation for SuperChargers/Turbo.

I’ve been following 1320 for many many years now, and because of this channel I have really grown to at some point soon build a nice track toy, I’m definitely gonna get a DF Goblin and with a 2010 Cobalt SS turbocharged. That’ll be fun lol. But if I could really choose to make a real go fast car it would be a corvette. Shit if I actually won this giveaway, I would honestly probably take it for a few months, and then give it to my dad, he absolutely deserves to have a fun car and he would absolutely love this car. Well my mom too. I’m just waiting for the day that my company will grow and blow up to where I can take care of my parents and they will never have to worry about another bill, and their house, cars, property, buy them a new work truck and a daily 4 cylinder for those long drives for doctor appointments my mom and grandmother have. All of that would be paid off, after my dad being the only worker and income due to my mom being permanently disabled, they absolutely deserve it. That’s my #1, NUMBER ONE GOAL is to take care of my parents, if I would have any wish granted, I would wish for that.

I have a 2001 Z06 with 87k miles I bought recently. Dunno who did the original P1SC install or when but another shop installed the 3.7 pulley it made 600whp@6500 on a Dynojet. 18 months ago East Coast Superchargers installed an Alky Controls single nozzle kit and dyno tuned it, 582 at the axle (hub dyno, hhp?) at 5850 RPM on a Dynocom. It's a monster.

That C5 Z so needs a forged aluminum LS3 or 388ci Dart LS block, heads, cam, ported Fast intake, with an upgraded IC, fuel system, D1-X with a 10 rib belt drive, upgraded clutch and suspension making about 800-850whp. Those CCW 505 are my favorite wheels on a C5Z and the Fikse FM5 is the best looking wheels on a 4th gen F body. All generations of the Z06 Corvettes I've driven have been extremely impressive and an excellent driving chassis.

I have a D1SC on my 99 C5. W/ cam long tubes and, heads ,...640, RWHP...its a handful. Livernois motorsports. Loved the factory tour. Spend the extra $$ and get it polished, + remove the whine by selection the helical gear treatment.
02 z 33k. Same charger. Love it. 643 whp.

The longevity seems to be lacking in max boost applications.
I believe Swanstrom went through at least 5 at NPK4 and had problems throughout. Daddy Dave broke some also, among others.
Granted, this is the extreme end of the spectrum, but is there a remedy for shaft or belt breakage?

Don't wanna break a belt, get a chain. That's the only way to prevent that.
Daddy Dave ran protoype parts, that were designed for making 2,200hp or less. So when more HP was needed, and the unit was turned up, the couplers would fail. (simple couplers, no supercharger failure). However... Daddy Dave now has production parts (ProCharger and ProCharger CrankDrive)... and hasn't had any issues since. :)
these TH-camrs must be making bank on these giveaways. every channel is doing one now it seems. this is definetely one of the nicest prize cars I've seen.
I am surprised you didn't have it wrapped white! looks great - time for some detail supplies.
So did you guys install an aftermarket clutch or pin the crank pulley? I've heard those are a MUST when supercharging. I've had a 100 shot on mine and it held from a roll but I roasted the clutch a few times trying to launch it with bottle.

@@181le6 I just generally like a lot of things left stock. Especially this with lower miles. I have purpose built race cars, but for a road car I just prefer them as they come.

I just figured that seeing how this isn't a monster build, that the drivability wouldn't really be adversely affected, or hardly noticeable under normal driving conditions, but the extra grunt is there if you want it. Either way, this is a really nice super clean C5. 👍

Just curious, as I see so many super chargers and turbo kits onstalled, what happens when it comes time to smog the car? Is the kit legal in all states? Unfortunately I live in Calif, and the restrictions here totally suck. Is there a certification exemption?
