    Description: I didn't make it to Mars, but I think Elon has that covered already anyways. Meanwhile, I'm just relaxing, flipping through my astronomy and space book, learning about the solar system. Did you know that Mercury has two sunrises and sunsets every day?!
    Thanks for watching!
    I can't stress how much your subscriptions, likes and comments keep me inspired to get better... So thank you for all your warm support these past couple years :)

    TH-cam may have idiots like the Paul brothers, but people like you help keep the balance in check.
    The vids you make are great, and even though you don't currently have a massive subscriber base, I'm sure I speak for all of us when I say we appreciate the effort you (and a lot of others like you) go to.
    Long after guys like ASMRctica and yourself stop making vids, they'll still be helping people, and that's awesome I think.

      Yep. He's my favorite unintentional ASMRtist. He no longer focuses on the whispering, but I still consider it unintentional ASMR kind of like Bob Ross's Joy of Painting videos.

    In case you're wondering, the hurrican over the Gulf of Mexico rotated counter-clockwise due to two things: pressure, and what's called the Coriolis Effect. Storms form when there's a spot of low pressure, and surrounding high pressure rushes towards the middle to relieve itself. However, it just misses center because of a force caused by the earths rotation effect free moving bodies. Instead, in the northern hemisphere, it dips to the right and spins around. You'll also notice that storms will head east in the north, which is also an effect of the Coriolis Effect.

    Use Mercury for scrap/building material, cool off Venus, and use Mars as a fuel station and Low-G manufacturing hub and for scrap.

    So it'll take 59.04 years for Mercury to do orbit around the sun as much as the earth does in a year. That's a long time.

    • @justsam100
      @justsam100 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nope. A year on mercury is much much shorter than on earth.
      In fact the tighter the orbit the faster the object orbing is going to be moving. That’s because the closer you are to the sun (or whatever really) the stronger its pull becomes, which in turn means that you need a higher “perpendicular” speed to balance it out.
      All the objects in the universe are in constant free fall (they’re constantly falling towards each other) but they’re also “speeding through space, which means they either get into an orbit or they fall onto something eventually.
      Imagine a rocket leaving earth: all you’re doing is building up speed until it reaches escape velocity and pulls away from the earth’s grasp.
      Also Newton’s famous example with the apple is exactly that; he threw the apple giving it an “horizontal speed” (relative to the earth’s surface) so that it didn’t fall down until the air slows it down enough.
