Thank you for showing us these layouts! I am creating an HO Scale diorama in my Route 66 museum, which will celebrate the spirit of small town America as well as paying tribute to the American Freedom Train from 1976. I don't have the space for a full blown layout, but a might wire up the track so the train can move down and back along the 17 foot length of straight track that will be part of the diorama.
Not an unusual space but an unusual occurance: we once exhibited our O gauge layout "Simonsby" at Highley Engine House, directly in front of 8F 48773. One of our members brought, you guessed it, that exact 8F. He also brought Prairie tank 4566 which was on display elsewhere in the museum.
If you can make it up to Quarryville, pa, I work at a pizza shop with an interactive lionel layout that would fit video topic perfectly. It's set up all year
Wegmanns has a model train. There is also one game store I know that has an O scale train. Both are hung up on a shelf(?) railroad connected by roof supports
I just purchased 6 wabash trains today Includes engine/5 passenger cars including the end var caboose. Price I paided $150 cash. In your opinion was this a good buy on my part. Reason I purchased these Lionel set I I had these in the mid to late 60's My dad sold the set gor xmas money for us😢
If you ever visit The Netherlands: Amusement Park "De Efteling" (Kaatsheuvel) has a train layout called "Diorama". Another weird place for a train layout. ;-)
The layouts are very impressive, But, It would be even better if it had vendors selling second hand model trains and accessories, That's what real model train shows do, The layouts are good but, without the other half I find them pretty boring.
It's funny you find them, because in Chicago the John Hancock always used to have a huge train layout every Christmas, but no more. Quite a few other places in Chicago also used to have them, but they stopped doing them.
my absolute favorite layout where you wouldn't expect it is the carneghie science center in pittsburgh, and even more unexpected is it's in s gague!

The Wise Ave fire department in Dundalk has one of the best Christmas train gardens in the area.
7:00 Ive been in there quite a few times. They put up that layout every Christmas season.
There is a place in Columbus Ohio called the Franklin Park Conservatory and they have a massive outdoor train layout they open every summer
