It appears that fate has conspired to draw your attention to this remarkable creation, as the allure of Dying Light graces your recommendation feed not once, but twice. Such serendipity is seldom mere coincidence; perhaps the cosmos is nudging you toward an even deeper immersion in this extraordinary experience. Having embarked upon this journey only last year, you’ve undoubtedly discovered the exhilarating thrill and spine-chilling essence that the game so masterfully weaves together. The game’s ingenious fusion of parkour mechanics with a harrowing zombie apocalypse indeed provides an unparalleled adventure. Each dusk brings a palpable tension as the monstrous entities of the night emerge, creating an atmosphere of suspense that etches itself into your memory. The combination of swift, fluid movement and relentless danger crafts an exhilarating tapestry of fear and excitement that is truly unforgettable. Your enthusiasm for this magnificent game is truly commendable, and it is my hope that the forthcoming chapters of your adventure will be as captivating and awe-inspiring as those you have thus far encountered. May your journey through the treacherous yet enthralling world of Harran continue to offer you both wonder and formidable challenges.
Dying Light main quest is indeed kind of forgettable. But, it's good because of the replayability. Also, after I finished it for the 1st time, I had this emptiness feeling for a while, just like after finishing great tv series. This should mean the story is good.
I find it hard to understand why others say Dying light has a bad story when it's exceptionally clear to me. Stories are meant to pace in some way, as it introduces the "rising action" section. Sure, something may have "weird" pacing but that's what makes a story. Same thing with the second, I see nothing wrong with the story. I'd surmise it's something in your perspective. I also don't find the Gazi side quest as "meaningless" since I put myself into Crane's shoes as he thought about "working your way around it."
Oh the story sucks. The characters are unbelievably uninteresting with no real depth. Kyle and Rais are entertaining as hell but the actual storytelling and character decisions make absolutely no sense.
Dying Light is by far my favourite zombie game. I don’t think the main story is BAD- I think it isn’t great but it’s serviceable. The Following had a more intriguing story. In terms of everything else… there’s nothing quite like it- atmosphere, open world, combat, physics, parkour, gameplay, updates, content (edit: I don’t think the gunplay is exemplary but hit reactions to bullets and the consequences of using guns/some of the more unique DLC guns help significantly), and let’s not forget the e many many Easter eggs and fun developer weapons- the game has aged like a fine wine. Before I finish the whole video I think the reason it’s so beloved is because it achieves everything a game should be: it’s FUN. Like, really, really fun!
Saw this in my recommendation feed twice, i think I'm meant to watch this LMAO. Just started playing dying light just last year too, such a amazing fun scary ass experience I'll never forget 😂
The sad thing about main storyline, is that it actually could've been good. It was originally intended to release in 2014, and looking at old trailers and all the content they release, the plot was slightly different, even the mc was different. Then game was delayed to 2015 in order to remove ps3 and xbox 360 support, redo the main quest and basically polish the game. And this hollywood-esque main quest is what i believe to be the result of this delay and rewrite. Techland wouldn't have time to make completely new sidequests, so they just left the ones that were there before the rewrite. You can even see this with how abruptly some of the quests begin(Firebug is the most prominent example, it was either a part of the OLD mainquest, or a part of the bigger sidequest arc that was majorly cut or reworked into something else) And The Following's main quest was pretty much untouched ever since the announcement in 2014. The beginning may be slightly reworked(which is a good thing), but the ending of Crane turning into the NightHunter is pretty much the same, due to the prerendered cutscene at the end being reused from the old version of the game(Usage of 2014 assets in the cutscene and Harran in the distance being slightly different pretty much prove that)
I read something about that when researching a bit but I couldn't really find anything concrete so I chose to ignore it, but from what I read it really did sound like an 11th hour change.
Just a note, Kyle Crane was told the file had info about an unsynthesized verson of a cure which could be deadly if made in its current form. This is later found to be a lie, but crane didnt go into harran not knowing anything about his mission
I got to Rais' arena again through New Game +, and I cannot kill, or barely even damage the big guy... I cried... I tried for an hour, I tried turning down the difficulty and doing it again. Same thing. I love the game, but wheewww... I gotta start over and get even better prepared.
@@breezuthe guy who ripped elden ring and it's fans, because he didnt like the game, and when fans reacted he kept doubling down and becoming more unhinged with his responses, even called the mother of the act man because he covered the drama in one of his videos.
Wanting a good story in dying light is just stupid. The game isnt about having some great story its about gameplay. The game itself is absolutely one of the most fun games of all time. Rais is evil because he wants to be evil. He literally just wants to cause chaos theres no depth beyond that.
plot sucks, guns suck, melee is decent, parkour and unlockable skills are peak and unique. I would rather have a UNIQUE PARKOUR GAME, rather than a generic slop shooter with mediocre parkour. You miss the fact that most people play this game for the parkour and good dlcs like the night hunter mode or the following.
That's what I mention throughout, I probably should've made it clearer, but I adore the gameplay of dying light, I think it some of the most fun in any open world game that I've played. But I'm personally a story guy so even if the game is really fun, I will talk about the narrative because I feel like they don't have to suffer at the cost of the other.
@@breezu I was also expecting a better story by the time we got dying light 2, but the sequel is just as mediocre as tbe first one with its story. At least it's serviceable I guess, but it didn't convince me to buy it
