It really helps to have lived in or near that time period of Graceland to realize how nice that was. It really was extremely luxurious living. I think that's what makes it interesting is when you put it more in perspective. Now days its difficult to even put the 90's time period into perspective when compared to today.
We used to live by a RC bottling place and my mom would buy us cases of glass RCs and peach nehi. We would use 6 of the RC bottle caps and get to go to the movies on Saturdays for free. AND with your ticket into the theater you were entered to win a 6pk of RCs. Great memories.
When I was about 8 years old there was an RC machine at my Dad's work that sold bottles. He was in charge of filling it and removing all the bottle caps. RC had a promotion if you sent in a certain number of bottle caps you got a free shirt. I must have had a dozen RC shirts that year. I loved them but I remember my Mom only allowing me to wear one once a week because she didn't want everyone to think I was wearing the same shirt every day.
One of my biggest dreams before i go to heaven hopefully is to do this exact journey..Hope i live long enough to pay my respects to the king of Rock that will always be..and can never be replaced.
Graceland is ELVIS and as visitors/fans we crave that feeling of us being a part of that time!.....the decor is what echoes his life....its a museum....TCB
It always tickles me when people say that Graceland's decor is "dated"... Well, of course it is; Elvis died in 1977 when interior decorating was very distinctive. Thanks for this awesome video, Adam!
To prove from humble beginnings, sheer hard work and pure talent can get you somewhere in life . Elvis is definitely proof of that among many other artists Great vlog Adam
I like seeing Adam have company as well. However some people, myself included, don't mind doing things by ourselves and being alone most of the time. You get used to it. Plus being free to do whatever whenever on a whims notice is definitely something I think Adam enjoys.
Yes hello it's me again Carl just watch your video of Elvis Presley's house and property and thanks send it before but you always get a different look on it from different videos it was a nice video thank you for sharing this video Merry Christmas Happy New Years God bless you Carl Garnett Toronto Scarborough Ontario TCB
went there in 2018.. first time touring Graceland.. there is such an awesome aura when you go in.. hard to explain.. but it was the coolest thing ever.. Elvis was truly a gift from heaven.. and i'm a Atheist!
I'm from Melbourne Australia I went to Graceland in 2015 and I loved it.We even went to that house in Tupelo but it was late at night when we were there so couldnt go inside.I swung on that same swing and as Elvis would say Thank you very much for this vlog
My mom was a massive Elvis fan me and my family also but my mom adored him we went to Graceland in 2009 and toured his mansion twice while we there we were planning a 2021trip Sadly my mom passed away right out of the blue in march this year thank you for this Adam brings back so many memories
When I was a kid I toured graceland with my family. It was some kind of celebration day there were flowers everywhere and a news reporter who came into our tour. The reporter asked in front of the roped off gold piano if anyone played piano in the group? I did play so my parents tried volunteering me. They asked if I wanted to play it and said I would be the first person to play that piano since he died. I was too shy and too afraid of messing up in front of all those ppl so I turned down that opportunity. But the memory of being asked has still been sweet.
Wish I was only 46 again. You're just a youngster Mr Woo. My first trip to Memphis was in August of 1974 in a failed attempt to meet him at the gate. He was in Vegas at the time performing and I had to wait two years until October of 1976 in order to see him in Chicago.
Hay Adam in 1997 I stopped off there and visited Graceland and other places like the Lisa marie plane the restaurant etc looking at your picture's nothing has changed much.thank you for taking back .
awesome video adam thank you for allowing me to see where my cousin elvis was born and showing the inside of graceland i got to met elvis in person in 1976 in las vegas he was buying a handgun in a department store that was cool
7.30am-8.30am daily you are allowed to walk up to the meditation garden at no charge. I have done it numerous times and been there alone. Great memories. Cheers
Anything Elvis Presley’s is golden. Any thing. However, Benjamin Franklin’s words continue to echo in our history. ‘Taxes and Death continue to be inevitable for us all.’ #TCB ⚡️ 🕺🏽
I used to go to Memphis every year for thanksgiving and one year I realized I had never been to Graceland so I went. I was absolutely fascinated with the way he lived being the first superstar for lack of a better word and now I have been to Graceland 7 times!
Just pulled into Memphis today . I’m working right next to grace land I can’t wait to see it . Elvis wasn’t my generation but love the stories . Love the vids Adam big fan for as long as you have been filming.
I was hoping you were going to Memphis as well. My dad had a colegue from Memphis and he actually gave me a cd called walking in Memphis by Marc Cohen. Great song for sure. They filmed a hallmark movie in Graceland.
Been to Graceland on Oct 9th 1994It was an amazing day.My late husband wrote several Elvis plays an trained an Elvis tribute artist.the server in the US army together.thanks for sharing is I slept to your the Lisa Marie his jet well thanks again see ya on your next adventure
I am so happy that you did this with respect! I have been a die hard Elvis fan since 1958. Been to Graceland more times than I can count and I love Tupelo too! I have a brick around the statue there. Thank you Adam well done!!!!!
Thank you Adam for your travels on the road. My Husband and I were married for 23 years and before he passed we would often take the roads less traveled I have so many wonderful memories and watching your vlogs help me so much. You have such a soothing voice
That was really cool. Back in the 1970s that house had all the up dated stuff and 3 color TVs looks like 6 was a big thing back then and size was kinda normal for the times a 20 inch color tv was big for the times then like a 60 inch or so is today. Things do change fast in life Cool 😎 Thanks Adam Woooo
one of my favourite places i visit every year Elvis week. If you get back there again look for my brick that i paid for that was laid down near the statue at the fairgrounds. My name Heidi Sargent from Australia is on it. I was so excited when i paid into that brick program. One of the best things Ive ever done. I love that man Elvs Presley.
My husband & I had the opportunity to visit as well. I was in awe of all the awards. The long hallway leading to the movie memorabilia. Quite impressive.
Making my comment at this video now. I live in Tupelo. Surprised to hear you were born in Tupelo! I've only been to Johnnie's one time. When the time comes that nobody knows who Elvis is, Tupelo will fade away. I've only been to the Memphis home once, also. After they buried Elvis on the property, I was there. There was no tour of the home until years later. I love your videos.
My daughter and her husband lived in Tupelo for about two years! Lovely town and I have a picture with that Elvis! What a wonderful memory! Fun fact: I was born on September 26th, 1957!!!
That was so good man. So epic. Touring The King’s footprints and Castle. Priceless
What up jay. Hope all is well my friend.
You're Priceless too Tampa Jay.
Great place of birth place of the King 🤟 Elvis🤘😎💝👍😎 🇱🇷
She is so adorable
This is shaping up to be one of my favourite ATW road trips thus far!
The greatest of all time elvis presley i hope to visit Graceland one day
From rags to riches. Its really a great American story. The greatest performer to ever live. Nice vlog 👍🏻😎
ELVIS HAS LEFT THE BUILDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THE KING IS HERE!!!!

So happy to see one of my favorite towns in my State getting some TH-cam recognition.
Thank you, thank you very much!
Graceland is ELVIS and as visitors/fans we crave that feeling of us being a part of that time!.....the decor is what echoes his life....its a museum....TCB
I never understood why people give videos a thumbs down. People work hard on videos and that’s not cool at all.
It always tickles me when people say that Graceland's decor is "dated"... Well, of course it is; Elvis died in 1977 when interior decorating was very distinctive. Thanks for this awesome video, Adam!
I love it, my wife and I have been slowing converting our den into our version of the Jungle Room. Nothing like that 60s/70s decor!
No man has ever left his mark like Elvis. He was the Rock and Roll Icon of all time.
ThankYouVeryMuch!.............TCB⚡
shes so smiley and giggly
I love going to Graceland it's a beautiful place

Great video! I love when he brings a friend along. Seeing him by his lonesome makes me think he's lonely. 😔

This friend seems like she could be his daughter or niece.
@@L8-APEX yea the flexibility to be spontaneous is nicer when you’re alone.

Many people think Elvis was from Memphis. They dont know he was born in Tupelo. So, I'm glad you showed his birthplace too.

Love Graceland! My dad introduced me to the King of Rock N Roll. I wish he could've seen it in person.
Who says you can never go home. That’s cool that you have a hometown connection to the king.
