Undoubtfully the greatest Sephiroth voice actor ever.

Voice of Superman
His voice is pretty attractive lol
Agreed tho, v sexy.
Yep
Well, that's the point. My mans was *designed* to be sexy.
@@piyo744 Well duh 😏
I wish the remake had George :'(
me too.

I wish that I had his voice. It's so awesome.
same
When someone told me that Sephiroth was voice by George Newbern, aka the Man of Steel himself, I just couldn't believe it. But here I am, baffled that the same man who voices one of the greatest super heroes is also voicing one of the greatest video game villains. Amazing.
0:09 I really like how he says “You’ll become a memory” which is basically a reference to how he mentions to Cloud that he himself will never become a memory.
>"But come on, say 'dada'. 'Dada'?"
>"Mother."
"Even a god gives in to dis pear."
God: Nom nom nom pear.
YESSSSS
George, you better be coming back to voice Sephiroth again in the remake.
AGREED
Silver The Rival and also kingdom hearts 3 if Sephiroth return
it's weired that he also plays Superman in the Justice League unlimited and in Injustice
He is
ICONIC
"I bring you despair. Hh. Hm. Huh. Ha. Hh. Hn. Hum."
i love Sephiroth's voice no matter what. his voice is so calming too...
George Newbern NEVER ceases to amaze me. He's hands down my most FAVORITE voice actor because of how well he gives Sephiroth his calm yet DANGEROUS voice that we all know and love. George Newbern is also the reason I chose Sephiroth as my new main for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate although we don't have his voice for the character because they couldn't get the voice actor. When I first heard George Newbern voice Sephiroth in both Crisis Core AND Advent Children, he gave me more than a THOUSAND CHILLS, mainly in Advent Children, where he said, 'Good to see you...Cloud'. OMG. I just got shivers again. No one will EVER be able to match George's talent in bringing the one-winged angel to life, not even Tyler who now voices him in FF7 Remake. It's just not the same without George voicing Sephiroth. George Newbern gave Sephiroth LIFE and a dangerous yet calm personality that we all recognized and adored but now with Tyler Hoechlin, eh...he just doesn't give Sephiroth that same personality in FF7 Remake. When Tyler does Sephiroth, his voice is...TOO calm and not at all DANGEROUS, in my personal opinion and it doesn't give me the same spark and joy that I had while listening to George voicing the fallen angel.
Tyler gives Sephiroth a relaxed voice that shows his emotional attachment to those he care for as well as keeping the overl aloofness Sephiroth has most times. And George holds the calm storm voice of Sephiroth, if that makes sense. It's hard to predict Sephiroths next moves at least until it's too late. George embodies the calm danger that is always lurking. Especially in Crisis Core. It shows Sephiroth descent into madness. It's slow, it corrodes, and was a choking journey. You could just tell in certain situations Sephiroth was not to be messed with. It shows in the way he holds himself, not just with his sword and in battle but in day to day life. How he was very intimidating without really meaning to be. But hinting at the drastic change that would be destined to happen. Tyler was showing the softer side to Sephiroth. His emotion and the type of emotions he felt as he descended. I like them both but Tyler does come up short with the intense and angry moments. Like the, "Don't test me!" Moment. But the teasing and hallucination moments with Cloud were top tier. Both are good in their own rught but the Advent Children Sephiroth was a whole menace when he showed up. "On your knees I want you to beg for forgiveness." Or the, "Well that's up to you Cloud." "Shall I give you despair?" Personally, "Tell me what is it you cherish? Give me the pleasure of taking it away." Is the most chilling shit I've ever heard aside from Broly asking, "Kakarot how much do you love your son?" To Goku. Both had me shook but Sephiroth took the cake with that. But yea no one can replace George Newbern as Sephiroth. No one. But Tyler is a good second I guve credit where credit is due. He did pretty good in my opinion. But not everyone thinks alike so that's what makes things interesting. I can totally see and understand your point which I respect.
@@noctemluxarmiger Thank you. Yeah, it's all about opinion. People really seem to hate Tyler as Sephiroth, though and it's quite sad. I mean at least I'm giving him a chance and I really do like him. He'll never replace George Newbern. Tyler is his successor, so I mean give the man credit of trying to sound evil for the character. I honestly think he did really well. I'm excited for hearing Tyler again for Rebirth.
@@lajazziamacklin8418 Thank you. Tyler is a really good Sephiroth like you said he's his successor. I have no idea why people hate him so much. Like hes honestly 1000x better than Zacks new voice actors. If anyone deserves the hate it's him but even then he tried. It's just Zacks sounds so weird now if I'm tbh.
@@noctemluxarmiger I have no idea why people hate Tyler either. However, I think it's because they want George Newbern back and they don't want these new people doing the characters that they grew up with. Like with Sephiroth, for example. George Newbern has been doing Sephiroth's voice for years so I believe the fans don't want a man who's never done voice acting play as Sephiroth even though he also does Superman himself. I honestly think Tyler did wonderful, especially with that, 'Is that the best you can do'? line. Heck, he really did sound like he was having fun with that! I also like Tyler doing Sephiroth because he's calm and gentle, unlike George Newbern, who gave Sephiroth a much more serious personality. Don't get me wrong, George gave Sephiroth a very dark and serious nature in Advent Children and Crisis Core and all of the other games, which I adored, but I LOVE Tyler's Sephiroth more. People are even saying that Tyler is trying way too hard with the character and isn't being 'emo' or 'evil' and not putting in enough effort to give Sephiroth that dark personality that we all know and love.
God I love his voice lol
Welcome to Radio Midgar, today: Depressive Talk with your host - Sephiroth!
And after that stay with your favorite host for a fun session of Strange Sounds with Seph!
"A cloud with no will bores me" lol
This man scares me lmao
show me your strength
the lines are fine, the directer is not allowing George enough freedom with the voice. George can be intimidating and charismatic (He is one of the best superman voices)
Sephiroth is gorgeous. George is amazing...
"Your tricks cannot change fate"
This is so ironic now 🤣
Seriously though I miss George so much. Thew new guy is good but it's just not the same...
He's meh at best and even admitted he only did it for money. Very saddening.
It seems the CW network is jumping on this opportunity to replace George Newbern with another Superman actor for the FF7R to better promote the CW show which is where the "Superman is still voicing Sephiroth" propaganda comes from. This is all done in hopes to hype the internet for the mediocre CW show and secure viewership from the video gamers.
wait for real? that makes me dislike square enix even more for changing everyone@@Killer_Kris7
I fear not death.
Sounds pretty epic if you ask me.
Sephiroth: “You look good.”
Me: 👉👈🥺
1:02 what the FF7R are like without OGs returning
Man, I was watching Friends and George Newbern shows up in the credits and I thought no way! Sure enough, the dude that bangs his sister is the voice of Sephiroth. Lmao
Headache relieving
i cannot listen to this it is too beautiful
ASMR
This voice was better, either that or we gotta get used to the new one ;-;
3:34's a memorable line to me for some reason lmao
THAT’S SOME GOOD SHIT RIGHT THERE MMHHHMMMMM MHMMMMM *THAT’S SOME GOOD SHIT.* - Zoobe Bunny
Somehow his voice reminds me of Misha Collins in Supernatural(Castiel). The Raincoat-wearing Angel :D
ummmm ''Seems I do not have to hold back'...Slow!..."Not there!..."Here!... 'You look good...Fear not...I'll lead you...It's time...Finish! Never forget this pain...Now you sleep''
...Boy oh boy, just don't do this to me.
I Don't blame Disney for high expectations of men, I blame Square Enix...
I like ''To the promise land'' and ''I'll fall into the shadows'' the most.
love his voice, mhmmm...
Thanks for these!
3:17 thanks daddy, u too
"I'll give you a lasting memory" :D
"To the promised land!"
*Hell's Gate*
WHY IS THIS GUY NOT SEPH IN THE REMAKE?!?
I really hope that it's a place holder, but probably not.
@@LeeEverett1 nope. He got completely removed
Because of Sony's demand that happened at the last minute to fire the whole original FF7 voice cast so they could promote through their prolific CW/CBS/Warner Bros/Warner Media/Sony stars just so their mediocre shows don't get canceled.

"Pitiful fool"
Some of these quotes should have been in Smash Ultimate
Injustice Superman after 100 years later in Phantom Zone.
The director is the one who guides the actors to portray their characters in a certain way. It's likely the director told Newbern to sound distant and aloof. Unattached. Quite frankly I think being unable to give any sort of emotion to Sephiroth is what is frustrating him most.
George Newbern as Sephiroth
my ears are coming

..... But I wanted apples......

His voice was fine in KH2, but his performance was flat. I loved him in AC, CC (pre-turning evil) and even the first Dissidia, where he seemed to replicate his AC vocal performance. But here...he sounds lifeless. Granted, he's a LITTLE bit better in the cutscenes, but the voice still sounds lighter than what it was before. Such a shame. If he reprises Sephiroth in the future, I hope he gets to sound fantastic and epic in the role again.
Bannar that’s the point of Spehiroth
Now i wish Kevin Conroy voiced Cloud.
xxdudeyy Dude hell nah
RIP Kevin…
never mind I gotta it to work
To the promised land🥳🥳🥳🥳
These sound better on psp :P
listening to these after awhile starts to sound like the mac speech function.

Exactly my thoughts. Glad I'm not the only one finding it sort of unnatural and robotic. x)
Part of it is simply that they sound more natural in context. Hearing them all lined up in sequence without anything to go on makes them sound weird.
what type of Book is this?
link didnt work for me. send it in a private message if you can brother.
IKR? I hear a distinct difference between most of his lines hear and the lines recycled from the first Dissidia that start at around 3:00. There's a bit more of a deep throatiness in George's voice there, whereas his voice in 012 sounds VERY light and flat. Not to mention his attempt at the sneering rasp verges on sounding like that comically bad growly voice he used for Sephiroth when he went bad in Crisis Core. Such a disappointment 'cause he CAN do better. I've heard him do better!
to the promised land...mk i'll go with ya! lol
I love this voice but, it sounds kind of like a robot.
I'll go with you to the promised land! Arf!
