(Side topic). Watching a YT Georgian (Russian) grandmother doing all kinds of cooking tricks. See her making something of a pizza boat and then fills in ingredients to the "gunwhale" of this dough boat. Thinking that you can do the same but in a Texas and BBQ fashion. Not like a NY deep dish pizza or such, ... or trying to cram food into a hot dog bun (or a hollowed out and stuffed hot dog bun), but a canoe-like dough boat with high sides. You then pile in the layered meat slices, cheese gratings, meat burger, peppers, chilis, BBQ sauce, and bake. Pull out, let cool and firm up - then add sour cream, and other final toppings. Out comes this Texas large-sized, fully intact "meat boat."
These are awesome Jeff! No shortage of the classic Cuban flavors here!! I haven't got your notifications the last 2 videos so I'm catching up now! Cheers Bud!
(Side topic - you will like this one !!!). Same YT Georgian grandmother canning watermelon juice. The video icon is bogus, but shows them pouring out the juice from an upright watermelon like beer from a barrel. Then it becomes obvious for a fantastic party. Make a wooden stand, that holds a watermelon length-wise up. Cut off the top. Need to have a very-long mixing blades for an electric mixer. Plunge the mixing blades deep down into the melon and throughly router out the whole melon rind and fruit. At the same time, pour in wine or vodka, or whatever buzz juice and mix up. Let sit. Party time - place the watermelon on the table for people to dip out their watermelon sangria.
Damn, you are amazing. They look so good. We have been up in Vermont since early May and these will be on the table for the fourth. I am getting my brother in law on the Armadillo Pepper parade. He is hooked. You and Tami have a great 4th. Keep cooking Jeff.
I'm thinking about the Canadian version with peameal instead of ham. Andy says, " do it like Jeff did", but you know I always want to put that little Canadian twist on.
@@Armadillopepper I don't like pickles, but strangely though, if you give me a jar of pickles I will eat them all and hate every minute of it! Go figure.
Grilla Grills Alpha Connect. They sent it out to me. Right now it is blowing the GFI. We've had a lot of rain here, so I guess I will need to contact them.
@@Armadillopepper cool grill i don't think my wife would let me get 2 pellet grills though. I have a Recteq rt700 now its been a great grill going on 5 years now not even a hiccup. And its still under warranty.
We had a storm this weekend Miss up the Electric. Been going threw days 12 hours long with out electric 50 dollars of gasoline for my generator for the last 3 days 🙄🙄🌈🌈⚡⚡
@@Armadillopepper East Texas. I live on a hill top the highest point of East Texas we get a lot of Ligntening strikes and high winds. The air is better and never floods. The roads down from us floods and around us. But not on my property
Looks like a Cuban variation of a Beef Wellington, or a French (rolled meat) roulade - neat !
Thanks John!

Thanks David! We also published a bacon Cheeseburger video last Sunday.
And I missed it? Damn!!!!
Oh, that looks sooo goood.

If you marinaded the pork in a mojo marinade it would be even more like a cubano. Great recipe for sure!
Thanks Andrew! I definitely like Mojo chicken
I never have the rubs you use. But Copenhagen sent me that exact same rub a couple months ago lol.
I think it's a pretty good pork rub. I like their chili lime seasoning also.

Papa Texas told me about you Smoked Cuban cigars. Looks great!!
Thanks Wendy. Papa rocks!

I don't have a smoker. Will this work in an air fryer?
Looks tasty 😋
Thanks Toad! How have you been?
Looks great Jeff! These will be on the list.

Or maybe both!
@@Armadillopepper that's why you're a genius!
You're much too kind
#bacon I bet that sauce was awesome on them cubs. I had to add this to my "Got to Make" List. Without pickle and pepper, lol. Good job Jeff!
Thanks. Gotta have the pickle Papa!

Baconarama!
Next time try using the flat side of the mallet rather than the spiked side. You'll flatten the chop out, but without worrying about tearing the bag
I'm thinking...Cuban cigars, pork lollipops, and potato fatty........= )
My final meal request 🙂
These are totally customizeabke with a international or lical flavours switching stuffing ingredients tex mex, greek, Korean, italuan, cuban whatever
👍
Had me until the pickle came in.....what about a jalapeños ??
Cuban sandwiches have pickles, but I did include a slice of jalapeno 🙂
