The Yamaha XSR155 will be based on the MT-15 which is in India. The bike uses the same engine as of the MT-15. The engine on Yamaha MT-15 is a 155 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected sohc unit. It produces about 18.5 bhp max power and 13.9 Nm of peak torque. It comes equipped with a 6-speed gearbox and a slipper clutch. The engine has a Advanced VVA (Variable Valve Actuation). This engine is Most modern and powerful in the segment.
The XSR155 follows Yamaha’s 'Sport Heritage' design identical to the XSR 700 and XSR 900 that are available in the international markets. It gets a tear-drop tank, a round LED headlamp and LED tail lamp along with a single-piece seat that adds to its retro charm.
Yamaha has equipped the XSR 155 with a single-pod instrument cluster that displays all necessary information and gets a distinctive , circle tachometer. The XSR155 is available in four paint schemes- Premium Grey, White/Red Sports Heritage, Black Elegance and Green Wanderlust . When launched in India, it will be priced around Rs 1.40 lakhs and compete with motorcycles like the Mt 15 and KTM 125 Duke in terms of price.
