You are right she is singing it her own way giving respect to the composer and the original artists. She keeps the main essence of the melody but gives her own twists in many parts. Most Filipino artists sing cover songs respecting the composer but giving it their artistry. Listen to KZ TANDINGAN's cover Adele's "Rolling in the Deep" , or BUDAKHEL featuring Katrina's cover of Mariah & Boys II Men," ONE SWEET DAY". Filipino singers do not just copy songs like a door-to-door delivery man, cause the original cannot be copied. The most is near quality but never the same.
