I noticed that, for a while I thought you was using a different camera. Another cracker of a video mate, good to see you looking and sounding better now. The DRZ is certainly proving its worth, she sounds good as well. 👍🏻
Yeah I noticed those Phil probably your Gopro Glitching out, I got sick of mine playing up so I bought an Osmo action 4 . 1000% reliable and great battery life. Awesome video as always . 👍👍
Thanks mate 👍 Yeah, yhe gopro had some corrupt files, just usable, but wasn't happy....lol The DRZ is giving me the confidence to go into trickier spots as I can drag it around easily if need be 👍
@@MidCoastAdventures Nice to see you're enjoying the DRZ, Its hard to understand why Suzuki don't release the 6 speed FI version everyone wants. Probably because we're the minority, and everyone in Europe want 800's cause of their limited riding areas, I don't know.
Your videos have given me a few good roads to ride already. I live in Gunnedah, but have family in South West Rocks and Grafton and used some of your trails when i rode over to visit this weekend just gone. Thankyou
Bloody brilliant Phil. Always a great little journey through both those valleys. Some magic vista’s as you head downstream along five day Creek towards Comara, as the valley opens up it’s just stunning everywhere you look. We live in a fools paradise mate! So many special places without even leaving the shire! You’re doing a fantastic job Phil, looking forward to many more adventures!
Such a lovely area & it’s so high at the top. Last time I went through the creek at the end it was flowing quite fast & deep. Held my breath driving through it 😁. Thanks for the vid!
Loved the video Phil! When I jump onto TH-cam and go to my "Subscriptions" section, there's a a select few channels that put a smile on my face, when there's a new upload. Yours is definitely one of them mate. Stay upright my friend 🙂
Good trip Phil , nice stop at the river at the end . I bought myself a DRZ 2015 model . Had the first big ride today out to Scotchmans peak . Their pretty buzzy on the tar , but there in their element once you get on the dirt . I need some bar risers pretty bad tho . But so far I’m pretty happy with it
Cool Andrew 👍 What sprocket set up you running? 15/44 (or 43 like I'm running) will make the tar sections more fun - if you sit around 95 to 100 k. Catch ya mate
It’s got std 14-47 but I’m thinking 15-44 same as my DR . I don’t do the big Highway Ks like you . What bars and or bar risers are on yours . I feel like I need to go up about 60mm . My legs are sore from crouching down yesterday
@@andrewadams3759 I put 35 mm risers on mine, and for me they are very comfortable. The bars are Henry Reed Hi Bars, so already have a decent sweep up.
@@MidCoastAdventures thanks , yeah was looking at 35mm , I have Henry reed on the DR , there’s Windham bars to , might be ok Biggest pain is either remounting the key switch or trying to to bolt it back to the bar riser , flat top risers all seem to be for taper bars .
Beautiful from Texas...... We don't have 400E in the US but I'm curious what changes you've made to the sprockets, if any to deal with your needs for speed or grunt? Everyone has to dial in their bike to best fit their own, "intent" as to how they;ll be using the bike. That can be a process & I don't have a bike yet but I'm here watching & gleaning whatever pearls of wisdom I can for you? I feel all this excitement & can't ride yet.... I hope it won't be too long but I thank you again for sharing all this. peace, be safe
The stock gearing on the E model is quite low - 14 /47. That ratio will near climb a brick wall. Most gear them up, with 15/ 44. This, way you can use the, same length chain. And far better when sitting on 60 mph.
@@MidCoastAdventures ~ now that's some advice w/ brains too.... everyone has their own fix but I've never heard any of them say how to do it & use the same chain. That's help on another level & I've always wondered but I finally got a chance to ask - ty sir, impressive answer. I'd hate to waste any part & none are cheap > well, might be cheaply made materials but always a premium CO$T. peace
Thanks for the ride, I've always wondered whats up in there, I always seem to be passing through. Not sure I'd be riding that country solo, but good effort?
There's a couple of not so sharp bits of footage in this one - not sure what happened- so my apologies in advance 👍

@@MidCoastAdventures there sure are. Toms Creek Rd and Pipeclay Rd were my favourites. Didn't know about them until i saw your video.
Great footage from the new drone Phil.

Your vids are like a warm bath on a cold day. Beaut scenery and no one does. Perfect.
Ah thanks mate, much appreciated 🙏😎👍
Bloody awesome Phil! That’s some speccy country out there mate and Slims place is a pretty cool piece of history!

I was hoping the creek was nice and low! But I still stuffed up 🤣

You sure can find the nice places to ride. Awesome backcountry trails.
Great Video Phil as normal 👍
Thanks mate 🙏👍
Great ride
Beautiful country there Phil, thanks for the ride mate. A sad day when Slim left us.
One glitch out of all the videos you've put up. Can't complain about that Phil👍.
Thanks Coobye, no idea what happened, but still usable to tell the story 👍
Love the drone footage, Phil!
The "follow me" feature on it is going to get a work out...lol
Another great video, Phill.
Lee Kernaghan wrote a song “Missing Slim”
Tribute to Slim Dusty.
Thanks Shane 👍 Lee's song is a great tribute to Slim. Brought tears to my eyes that one too!

Great vlog Phil, how much fuel did u use there and back please? My mate and I have 9.3 litre tanks, Yamaha Dt 175, Yamaha xt 225. Thanks mate
Hi Sean, (Karlene! 😊) I used 10 litres, but that was from SWR's. You can get fuel at Willawarren 👍
