The weirdos said seeing The Damned at the Starwood club in West L.A. was a big moment for them. Well, The Weirdos were one of the first L.A. Punk bands I saw at that same Starwood (still got the flyer--June 1977). Their singles and the Who? What? When? Where? Why? EP were absolute keepers. I used to see used copies of this CD in record stores, but unsure of what it might sound like after the band's long hiatus, I passed. That was a mistake. Their older, the music's matured and is a little more produced, but it's still The Weirdos, full of verve and spunk. I cheated myself by not checking it out sooner--better late than never.

Well said. One of my favorite bands since I first heard them in maybe 81? Didn’t get to see them live till this record came out early 90’s I believe. Such a good show. And was great to see all the songs I grew up with live with the newer stuff at the time. I think they didn’t skip a beat. Picked up right where they left off.
      R.I.P. Dix Denny.

I saw them a few times during the early 90's reunion, once with The Skulls opening and another with them opening for The Cramps and RHCP on New Years Eve. They ripped every time!

It'd be pretty easy to teach this album as part of history. The history of rock n roll and rhythm and blues pretty much covers all of U.S. history, from African slavery, to Irish & Chinese immigration, Native American decimation, and Dutch/Spanish/French/English colonization all the way to the modern age. In order to understand punk, you need to understand rock and in order to under rock you need to understand gospel, blues and folk music. This music was created in our darkest days in a desire to express artistic freedom despite human bondage, government and foreign oppression, war, and the overwhelming nature of humanity to enforce conformity.

I think I bought this in the discount bin in the early 90’s at Camelot records in the Macon Mall. Fantastic punk tunes omg!

Not really that punk rock but, it's a great off-kilter rock (and rockabilly) record. I'm sure that you know that their 70s material was twice as fast as the tunes on "Condor".

Saw these guys open for the Circle Jerks around the time this was released. It was the Jerks' 10th anniversary tour and sadly, most of the "hardcore" crowd (myself included) weren't familiar with the Weirdos and didn't pay much attention to them. Only later, after checking out the first "Weird World" compilation (released around the same time as "Condor") did I realize what I was missing.

There are many computer aps that allow you to record what is being played (i.e. on THIS page for example). Then you can use other aps to do what you want with the file that you saved after you have recorded the audio from this page. Make sense?
