All the accounts have been recovered and wiped, the recovery system was very bad and you could do this notepad copy paste of the same appeals and every 20 or so one would recover, most had some rares. I never got lucky but had friends doing it at the same time had multiple partyhat recoveries
33:31 the footage in that clip is actually shot in HDOS! The champion's capes you see the two characters on the left side wearing are a custom model based on the RS2 120 dungeoneering cape :)
I wasn't "good" back in the day. but I def missed my opportunity. I had just finished 99rc with double nats and had about 300m cash in 2009, I always wanted a white Phat; I could afford it. Instead, I thought if I bought BIS gear, I could out earn their rate of inflation. I failed, couldn't keep up. Now, I am sitting on about a 50b bank, still far behind the value of the Phats.
MapleStory what it does perfectly is the leveling experience - fast early and insane grind end - and the more the increase the level cap and add more equipment into the game, they then make the earlier parts of the game even faster to level and easier to get all previous equipment below the new shiny equipment that is a grind to get. This is what a catch up mechanic actually is. It is NOT being on the same level as the guy that has been playing every day for years, but get to that end game state significantly faster than what it took that veteran player since he was in end game back when getting to 200 was the end game, getting to 230, getting to 250, getting to 275, and getting to 300. Meanwhile a new player coming to MapleStory can get to 1-200 in 4-10 hours ish range, though a brand new player would probably take a few weeks to do this since they would be extremely inefficient at the game knowing nothing.
"Runescape is not a game." I agree with this statement. Why? Because it really is a second life simulator and if you were to rate it as a game-game it would be a 1/10 experience, but a 9/10 for what it does for people which is act as a second life "role-play" experience to experience something new and different. Also, take a shot every time I said experience here. Where as MapleStory has that second life feeling to it too, but with an insane super appealing 10/10 art style and be an actual 10/10 action-platformer game for current MapleStory. MapleStory has always been a masterpiece, but old maple was at the absolute best a 4/10 real game as an action-platformer, and that would be stretching it - at the same time online games were pretty bad back in the day that it was one of the best. I find it weird that all of the other MMOs either stagnated or in some cases gotten worse over the years, including newer ones that came out later, and only MapleStory kept getting better and better, unless you count Genshin Impact as an MMO (which it is not and I don't). I think it is just all of these other games lack creativity and unable to think of fun new gameplay loops, and instead just keep making WoW-like MMOs on loop with a few exceptions like Phantasy Star Online 2 is radically different to any other MMO out there.
@@AnNatie You should walk up to a 7'2" bodybuilder black man and say, "You and me, right now, let's go you stupid, ugly, N*****!!" and see how that goes for you. You might need an experience like this... you might say less stupid stuff online then.
@@AnNatie Kind of a weird opinion of his Icl ahaha, and also the genshin impact being a good game? eesh. That shit has so many flaws I can barely see the positives.
I always think about someone who hasn't played since 2003 and has like 15 of then sitting in the bank.

andrew gower didnt need the community to make a game the community loved
I remember party hats, Santa’s, and h’ween being so coveted back then. Was fortunate enough to own a Santa and hween mask.

I humbly disagree. Bring back Pre-BB Maplestory. Game was never the same after, they became shills. How many classes are there now? 200?
Nice video, I the video a few days ago, but watched again with your commentary! You got a new sub :)
BTW I am a proud owner of a blue party hat !
