Well simply said, this isnt mcburns full power...actually really far from it. If I remember this is basically just the group opening a path for rean to keep going while the rest keep fighting to hold mcburn back. Spoiler: In this sequence you basically have a couple of boss fights spread throughout the dungeon as Rean tries to reach a certain destination. After each boss fight Rean leaves the group behind and joins up with the next team until he reaches his destination.
This was a fun fight imo
