While I do miss his other line of "I'll blow you away." I'm glad they kept: "This Ends Now!!" line for his ultimate. I like the update to his new rush, but once again, I prefer his Final Revenger in the old games. Especially BT2. Which is still easily my favorite version of the attack. Any way, Merry Christmas Omega and to everyone in the comment section!
If anything, you could make the first wave the Riot Javelin, which games like FighterZ and Budokai 3 already did. You get two different moves, rather than two functionally very similar moves, and you get a callback to the original version of Bardock. Everyone wins
Ive always prefered the orb of energy compared to the beam. It was so tiny for an ultimate, so it really did come across as a last ditch attack from a low class warrior. Now its just a generic one handed Kamehameha
Bardock's ultimate in sparking zero is a strong beam of energy instead of a strong orb of energy because this sparking zero's bardock is more inspired in the bardock that appaered in DBS: broly movie, in that movie bardock used a strong beam of energy for try to stop frezzer's super nova.
@@mr.beatdown It doesn't matter if you don't like SSJ Bardock, it's a video game. Your opinions on the actual character shouldn't matter, all you're doing is playing as them. And it doesn't matter if it's non-canon, both GT and movies are in the game.
The old final revenger, specifically the BT2 version is still my favorite one. This one would be so much better if the spinning punch wasnt so slow, it looks like he’s moving in slow motion, whereas its full speed in Xenoverse so it has a more impact.
Strong character. Again, for a 4DP character, he actually is good enough for Singles and is way too good with skills(seriously, uninterruptible Sparking?) Super armor on Sparking, blazing fast rush, beam on both Super and Ultimate. No issues here or anywhere else. He is a low class warrior, you know.
The only thing I wish is that at least in his classic outfit, his ultimate would change from Final Spirit Cannon (the beam) back to Riot Javelin (the energy ball) Yeah I know, borh names are for the same move and the move itself changed with the Broly film, but still, it would have been a neat touch imo. The voicelines for the ultimate are fantastic.
A good compromise between the old ball and new beam for the ultimate. Would be starting with the ball, have the enemy hold the ball, and have Bardock finish with the beam. Unfortunately we don’t really get characters holding attacks like that in this game.
See, the weird thing about SSJ Bardock not being in this game is that, for all intents and purposes, his moveset is, they just gave it to the wrong form. The rush being the most obvious example, but the Final Revenge Cannon being a beam instead of a ball has long been associated with his SSJ Form. Makes you wonder if they had plans to include him, scrapped him and just gave his moveset to a possibly unfinished Base Bardock to cut down on time.
Although the Final Spirit Cannon has been associated with his SS form, this Bardock's main influence is clearly his appearance in DBS Broly, and in that, he used the Final Spirit Cannon as a beam instead of a blast. The hand position confirms it.
Bardock's kinda eh to me in this game. I like what they were going for in trying to pay tribute to the special and his current incarnation but I think it needed more work, specifically his ultimate. I get why he has a beam because he fired a beam at the Supernova in Super Broly and a big beam as a Super Saiyan but paired with one of his Supers being a one-handed beam, it doesn't feel right. Also, the energy ball is more iconic I'd say. I think they could've done something cool maybe where it starts as the ball then on contact we see it being held back and that's when Bardock charges the beam and just unloads.
Nice touch going with his original design. I really dislike that Toriyama went out of his way to make episode of Bardock non-canon despite him praising it in the past.
Merry Christmas! It's a bit annoying how he doesn't have his ki ball attack that he throws at Frieza and just the blast. I would have loved to remake the FighterZ dramatic finish. They said certain costumes would change attacks etz but this one stays the same. Maybe a future patch or update can add it.
Imma say it, Bardock's Final Spirit Cannon is way cooler as a massive energy wave than an energy ball. It just feels right. sure it didnt stop the Supernova but seeing the effort to stop it is more satisfying.
I think the reason we didn’t get Ssj Bardock is because his base form is canon but the Ssj form isn’t, so it would be weird for him to go from canon to non-canon.
@@Ashurman666For you would make sense to see goku (z early) transform into false super saiyan (a form that appaered only in the slug movie)?, the canon needs to be respected.

Glad you used the real Bardock's outfit. Also it's weird how they made his ultimate a beam when it should be a ball. At least it looks cool.
The beginning of the move reference the old OVA, but the beam with that pose references the beam Bardock did in the DB Super Broly movie

I miss his ultimate being a projectile. I guess they really wanted to mix Z and Super versions into single character.
If anything, you could make the first wave the Riot Javelin, which games like FighterZ and Budokai 3 already did. You get two different moves, rather than two functionally very similar moves, and you get a callback to the original version of Bardock. Everyone wins
I love how they kept his victory pose
I like that giant energy ball as his Ultimate from the previous games more.
You did my favorite character on Christmas. Nice.
Bardock's utl should be the beam in his Super outfit and the ball in his Z outfit
That would be great tbh.
That would work and be useful for everybody!

BT3: A strong orb of energy
Sparking zero: Now a Strong beam of energy
I think it was a beam in RB too

The GOAT moveset
Imagine if his super outfit had a different ultimate
Thats what I was thinking. Give his classic outfit the Riot Javelin, the energy ball, and keep Final Spirit Cannon on his DBS Broly outfit.
Actually his Z outfit should have different one, cause DBS is default look for him in game and this ultimate is based on DBS.
@@Lyserg1260 I’m still right their ultimates would be different
It says if they made a move set for his Super Saiyan form, but were been told they can't use it, so then they just gave it to his base form.
Wouldn't be surprised if supers Saiyan Bardock is dlc in the future, that's if this game gets the Xenoverse treatment with dlc...
They really did him dirty with his rush. One part of the rush was done by ssj bardock and its a shame we didn't get it.
