@@TimCammisaHey I read your post on the JStockard site, good stuff! Then I watched the video, Cahill jig with the DRC dubbing. I looked up spectrumized dubbing a few days earlier after watching Piotr Soltysik, an excellent tier with a sense of humor, tie a caddis larva and the dubbing had subtle color changes from yellow, green, blue. I asked him if it was a spectrumized dubbing, he told me "it's made of many materials, from an old Druid's recipe". (lol) Anyway my search lead to the DRC website. Maybe the Druid was Caucci or Nastasi, eh? I forgot about that book but have been aware of mixed color dubbing for ages - just too lazy to do it or too easy to buy by the label on prepackaged dubbing, or just plumb forgot! I remember you tied an Iso fly and used their dubbing and I said the color looked nothing like the real nymphs or duns I've held in my hand. Well I understand it all now, thanks for showing us... I just gotta remember all that stuff! All is well so far Tim! Hope and pray the same for all :o)
Bob Quigley ❤ RIP. BOb was my first teacher, Sabra Clare California, I learned so much from him in two years. The techniques Bob taught me, I still use Today. Materials, hooks and lines have changed but not techniques. Thank you for honoring, Me. Bob❤ Quigley…..sorry about the Mr., Bob………grin…🎉🎉🎉🎉
Appreciate you mentioning this, and so cool that you knew Mr. Quigley! We're happy to honor him with this video. Are there other flies of his that stand out for you? Tim www.troutandfeather.com
Love the pattern and thanks to Dave for the instruction. I’ll be giving it a go but, oh my goodness! That’s a hard one! lol. I just know mine won’t come out like that. And, all those materials that I don’t have! lol. I’ll swap out as needed..... Thanks for another upload Tim. Always a treat. Keep safe dude.
You are correct, Adrian, and Dave did a GREAT job! I really thought he was going to run into problems...but alas, everything finished smooth at the end. Thanks for the comments, and I hope to hear from you on some of my other videos. Tim www.troutandfeather.com
Hey Tim. I thought I’d use here rather than email to say thank you. The package arrived this morning with stickers and a couple of flies tied by you. I love it. To think you sat at your vice all the way over there tying these little babies..... great! Thank you dude. Always enjoy your vids and your enthusiasm on here supporting us guys around the world. It’s always appreciated. Keep it up and keep keeping safe.
You're welcome, and I'm glad the package arrived! It's my pleasure, as the support of you and others is what keeps this moving. Thanks for taking a moment, and I hope all is well. Tim www.troutandfeather.com
The parachute loop is genius!!! Makes things so much simpler.
I’ve watched most of your videos and this is one of the best tying ones you have posted!
