- Kpanlogo ist ein bekannter Rhythmus aus Ghana. Ich zeige hier die beiden Begleitstimmen und die Glocke und wie sich das zusammen anhört.
Es gibt auch einige weitere Tutorials und Vorspiele über Kpanlogo (Solo, Bassstimme, Traditionelle Begleitstimme) bei mir, die sich lohnen, wenn man den Rhythmus zur Gänze kennen und spielen möchte.

It's an amazing rhythm and clarifies the origin of clave.
Kpanlogo was created in the 1950s, so it is difficult to pin this as the origin of the son clave from Cuba. However, the ubiquity of these timeline-clave patterns in southern Ghanaian drumming (Ga, Ewe, Fante, Ashanti, etc.) and neighboring countries (Togo, Benin, Nigeria, etc.) unquestionably shows strong parallels between the use of the clave (commonly called bell in Ghana, with various bells for each ethnic group (gankogui from the Ewe is used in the video and is often used in Ghanaian drumming ensembles)) in Cuba and West Africa as both a cyclical pattern and an organizational structure.
did not see your comment! Sorry. You are right, the origin of the son clave (and all others) are back in history, when the slave trade happened. Lot´s of yoruba people were abducted and brought to the caribbean. And they brought this cultural piece to Cuba and other Ilands. I made a tryptichon about Guidelines (Bells, Claves etc.) because this kind of music organasition is the center of the music I play. I would really like to know what the origin of the Kpanlogo Bell or the 12/8 Bell is in western Afrika.

Es gibt noch einen Quinto-Rhythmus dazu: B.XXB.OO B = Bass, X = slap, O = open, . = ghost note

Vielen Dank für die recht aufwendige Präsentation. Sehr gut auch, dass man die Trommelschläge "von oben" sieht.
Bei einem "Merengue"-Rhythmus in brasilianischem Stil habe ich noch folgenden Rhythmus gesehen: B.XXB.OOBXX.B.OO ebenfalls in RLRLRLRL-Technik.

Ich kenne die Stimme, aber nicht als gespielte Begleitstimme. Diese Stimme nimmt man gerne, wenn man Kpanlogo unterrichtet als Hilfsstimme. Leicht zu lernen und gut zum halten für Anfänger. Außerdem ist sie so etwas wie eine vereinfachte Solostimme. Im Solo wird gerne das dritte und vierte Sechzehntel gespielt. Kann dann z.B. so aussehen: ..xx..oo..xx..oo. Es gibt auch eine Solobasis in der immer die ersten drei Beats diese Positionen gespielt werden.
