That is freaking AWSOME. What a plane! As capable as it is beautiful!! Great great great pilot that knows its plane very very well. Almost a model airplane at some times with these surface authorities. Unbelievable.
Really great plane. Looks great and is great for freestyle flying. I would be interested to know how it is doing at the FAI aerobatic competition. Unfortunately, you never see one.
I don’t think you ever will see them on World Championship circuit. I’ve spoken an aerobatic pilot who has flown it and says it’s really under powered. Which you can see on the video it looks to have no vertical penetration at all.
@@peterb6382 Hello Peter , is that realy the reason about it.. 🙄.. On technical Data it is a very light weight plane, and it has the Lycoming 540 /580.engine. Same at is in a extra 330 sc . and others MXS or edge 540.
@@alexandertheissl808 don’t get me wrong I’m no expert but when I was told by this pilot it made a lot of sense. All the footage I’ve seen of it just looks like it’s lacking vertical performance. I’ve just watched some of the world championships and those extra’s and Mxs’ really can push those up lines. the Gamebird does have a huge fuselage mind you.
Steinbach is a 4x German champion and designed this plane so I would wager it is more than capable. We are talking about a $500k airplane and anyone with the skill to compete in the unlimited class probably already has an Extra or something that they have been flying for years. I wouldn't be surprised to start seeing these pop up in the future as competitors start buying them
Looks like everytime he pulled vertical, he killed his energy with a too quick tumble or snap.... It's a crisp aerobat, just needs to be flown in a bigger box.
I just watched Cleetus fly in the GB1. I would love to see one of these in person.
Beautiful airplane. Thanks for a very well captured video!

4 blade 6 cylinder engine! amazing sound
4:17 or therabouts...How does this even work!? What is happening here? Incredible!
That's insane... maneuvers I have seen RC planes do I thought were only capable at that small scale. Never thought I'd see a real aircraft do that

Fantastic four bladed sound

Extreme flight makes a RC model of this plane that is awesome
At times it's not really flying.....more like aerial gymnastics. Amazing performance!
insaaaaaaaane maneuver! 🤘😲👏👏👏

American Airshows: Please stop blasting music. Please.
I didn’t hear any music for this one?
@@horsemoney It's playing on the ground to the airshow audience. It's a thing they do. It sucks.
I don’t mind it so much for the aerobatic aircraft as long as it’s not too loud, but I hate when the play it when the Warbirds are are flying.
@@horsemoney It's always jingoism type stuff too. American Pie, Freebird, etc.
Agreed, they just think people have to have something entertaining them on all 4 senses at all times. Let us listen to the aircraft already.
