Great run, I am currently stuck on Radahn but am I the only one who's framerate drops HARD in the second phase? And I have a really good PC, 3080Ti, 32RAM,... It really makes it difficult to dodge all the bs following his attacks.
Anyone notice Miquella holds Radahn as they die? He only has 3 arms but they all close around Radahn's head as they fade away at 59:46. Nice tough from the designers.
I am glad that you enjoyed the run, also a blackflame/scarlet rot build should have an easier time against radahn since it deals percentage based damage and both statuses can stack ^_^.
I ended up having no interest in playing the dlc, life too busy. Don't really feel like watching a playthrough, but this is just what I needed. Get to see the big shit and nit take forever with filler
Side note, you can skip this boss completely and go straight to shadow keep. Effectively you only have to kill messmer, boss before burning, npc and final
No death, the only way to pass this dlc. Ahh fromsoft, letting LetMeSoloHer reviewing the boss fights and having the final say on difficulty was a top notch idea!
I used a +25 heavy starfist with the cragblade ash of war + golden halberd for the golden vow buff + flame, grant me strength incantation. As for talismans I used the Axe + ritual sword + viridian amber medalion for a high hitting build with lots of stamina. For Radahn I respeced to get arcane to about 50 points for the added holy damage defense + bleed buildup increase, switched out the starfists for a +25 bleed bandit curved sword with the seppuku ash of war and paired it with the buckler shield to parry radahn easily (on top of that i used the dragoncrest shield talisman in order to reduce the damage he can inflict significantly + I also got an armor from the finger maiden that offers good holy resistance + physical damage reduction) ^_^.
By creating a bleed build which can deal upwards of 500 bleed proc in a single charged attack (since the bloodfiends arms charged attack hits twice) ^_^. Let me give a quick run down of the equipment. For starters you wanna use a build that has 80 points in strength as well as 80 points in arcane to hit the hardcaps of both of those stats as well as 25 points in faith in order to be able to cast the incantations "flame, grant me strength" + "golden Vow" which both grant quite a lot of multiplicative damage ups (I also recommend equipping godricks great rune in order to get +5 stat points in all attributes + the faith knot tear which grants you + 10 stat points in faith in order to cut down on the required levels and to put the rest of your levels into endurance for the stamina). For talismans you need the ritual sword talisman which grants you 10% aditional damage, the axe talisman which grants + 10% damage for charged attacks, the two handed sword talisman from the dlc which grants an aditional 15% damage as long as you dual wield a two handed weapon + the lord of blood talisman which grants an aditional 20% damage once you proc bleed on an enemy. For armor you really only need the white mask which grants an aditional 10% damage once you proc bleed (which stacks with the blood talisman). For the physick flask you should also use the spiked cracked tear which deals an additional 10% damage on charged attacks. Now lastly you wanna use a fully upgraded Bloodfiend arm with the cragblade ash of war (which deals + 10% damage + 15% aditional stagger damage) + a blood infusion (which makes the weapon scale insanly well with strength + arcane + gives it a bleed proc of about 220 which hits twice during charged attacks). Now you combine all of those multiplicative damage buffs on top of the scadutree levels which buffs the damage by even more (especially since the patch from a couple of days ago made the first 10 levels even more powerfull) and you get a trully powerfull build which can proc bleed on bosses with a single charged attack ^_^.
Im convinced that fighting his moveset vanilla without parrying is not possible to no hit. There is one combo in particular where he does two sweeps and then launches a cloud of dust onto you. If you dodge the first sweep, then the second sweep will *ALWAYS* roll-catch you. It's unfair design.
i think they focused a lot in parry mechanic in this game therefore the spamming in a lot of bosses really on my 2cnd playthrough i focus on parrying the bosses and it's really easier lol
Oh yeah you mean the 3 hit combo he does which ends in a cross slash right? That one really incentivizes you to learn to parry him and on top of that a lot of his phase 2 movesets are next to imposible to evade if you are positioned incorrectly. I honestly wouldn't even be suprised if he were to receive a patch to adjust his moveset in the near future.

I was at scadutree level 13 + I switched in a +2 dragon crest shield talisman to increase the physical demage reduction by a lot. Now combined with the rellana armor you can get from the finger maiden which has high physical + holy damage reduction and respecing into a high arcane bleed build (which adds a lot of flat holy damage reduction for phase 2) and partial parrying with the buckler lead to phase 2 of radahn dealing quite a bit less damage when with a non optimized build. So I can highly recommend going for a similar build ^_^.
Once you learn to parry him somewhat consistently he really isnt that hard anymore ^_^. (though he is still easily the hardest boss in the game + maybe Fromsoft history).
To be honest in my opinion radahn is straight up the hardest boss fromsoftware has ever done, so it isn't unusual that a lot of people are struggling on him (he will probably even receive a nerf in the near future to scale him down a bit).

I actually got access to the dlc a couple of days before release, so I had some time to practice his movesets and learn his parry windows ^_^.

@@jajasking9652 I've been on radahn for a day and a half. Just can't do it, phase 2 is too blinding first of all, and the combos are over tuned.
