@@ptr1537 sorry, not only in "her generation" - but in 3 or 4 generations of skiers as it took 35 years before Lindsey Vonn surpassed her as far as the number of victories goes. Moser Pröll, Vonn, Shiffrin and some others are doubtlessly all great. Somehow I find it difficult to compare them though. Interpreting statistics and results one must have in mind that at Moser Pröll's time there were by far not as many races and most of all there was no Super - G, a discipline which would have been perfect for Moser Pröll. Fact remains that it is not the sheer number of victories that must be considered as with more races you naturally have more chances to win. Those days there were 17 to 26 races per season, in Vonn's and Shiffrin's days there were between 30 and 40 races per season) Moser Pröll is still the only one who won 6 over all World Cups - 5 of which in successive years. She still holds the record of being the youngest winner of a World Cup. And she still holds the record of having won 11 races in a row. She was on the podium almost every second race she took part in and won 25 % of them. A record that's still hers. Consequently, "in her generation" does not not seem quite correct - at least "perhaps" could be replaced by "for sure". As mentioned before, they are all fantastic skiers and, no doubt, Vonn and Shiffrin amount of victories outnumber all the others. But in statistics there are other parameters to be considered as well.
My first winter working in the ski biz, and I still do. Good video.
Brilliant film, bringing alive the drama & emotions of it in a way modern coverage doesn't.
Ah I remember skiing in the 70s. Fun times!
Thank you so much.
I'm old enough to remember this and the technology
So gnarly! Thanks for sharing!

Annemarie Moser ja die erfolgreiche Skifahrerin des 20.jahrhunderts,, und für viele Menschen immer noch die größte Skifahrerin der Welt
Sorry, but in her generation yes. But first Lindsey and now Mikaela. No one else come close. Mikaela is the GOAT.

This is Annemarie Moser Pröll. The most successfull womens skier in the history of sports! Far away from someone trying her luck at skiing
