I just want to say thank you thank you thank you! I bought this palette a while ago thinking I would do my makeup but I get intimidated by all the looks on the internet and always wished for a tutorial of something simple and classy and you have done that so thank you!
I love how much time you take carefully explaining each step!! It makes it really easy for beginners like myself to learn eyeshadow when tutorials aren't all that common Recently. Thanks so much 💛💛
New fan..I gotta say this is the BEST tutorial I have ever seen...and I have literally watched thousands..your approach to taking the time and explain has been a godsend to me❤
Thank you so much i just got my James Charles palette this was the first look i tried and you made it so easy and ive mever even put a shadow before!!!
I love you so much. I just found your channel and instantly your personality pulled me in. You are so sweet and seem like such a real person. I am so happy to subscribe!
i just watched a old tutorial of yours and and now this one i am obsessed with the way my eyes look when i fish your tutorials i think i’m going to find myself watching and doing all of them during this quarantine
This is almost the exact look I did for my “princess look” when I was in Rogers and Hammerstein’s cinderella :) So simple and beautiful!! I love how much detail you went into while explaining too👏
I'm glad you're going to try it! Honestly worst case, you just wipe it off! There's been so many makeup looks I've tried that haven't worked out, but practice helps!
@@mackenzhughes I tried it and I really liked it. Didnt use as many colors as you did but that's because of my eye shape and I didn't want it to be too dark for work. Since watching your video I've taken more time to blend my colors more and its given me a confidence boost in my technique. Thank you!
love these! just watched ur video from 2019 over a beginner eyeshadow tutorial. Ive had the palette for a while now but am scared to play with it bc im not the best at eyeshadow, so im glad i found ur videos to try out neutral looks!
Sorry I just saw this comment, but thank you so much! I was the same way when I was starting out, it's a lot easier to start with a few colors (maybe 2-3), you can still create lots of eyeshadow looks, even just by using a few colors!
I finished watching all your Disney vlogs so now I’m on to makeup tutorials!! I’m a beginner so these videos have really helped and I’m starting to get the hang of it! Sending lots of love 💗 congrats on getting married!!
The best tutorial ever!! So well explained, this was my first time doing a smokey eye and second time doing my eyeshadow, you guided me so well that it looked bomb, 80% like yours 🤯
I love this tutorial!! It didnt come out as perfect as yours but mine came out really good!! Im happy with it!! Thank you so much!!! I love how you do the step by step explaining.
Can you please make an eye look with the yellow and the 3 greens next to it. I would LOVE to see a look with those colors!! Especially because you are so detailed and you take your time, I really appreciate that. Thanks!!
@@mackenzhughes can you do a green yellow look with the yellow color “Bee” and the other 3 greens surrounding it? I would LOVE for you to do a look with those colors!!! Please!!!
Your eyes are a similar colour to mine but I’m a redhead and my eyebrows are a dark blonde/brown. I love this look and I definitely want to try it. The colours suit you and you explained perfectly. Thank you 🙂
I love how you are able to do a whole look with just one or two brushes and like let us know that we don’t have to use all the brushes if we don’t have them or that we don’t have to use all the brushes if we do have them, that we can use 1 or two brushes and the look will still come out good. So thanks for that.
You're welcome! I remember what it was like starting out and not having dozens of brushes, or primers, or the nicest lashes, etc. But I still think you can create a beautiful eyeshadow look even when you don't have a ton of tools!
This was a wonderful video. Now I will be able to practice with a purpose instead of just doing things blindly. I am going to watch this again and keep trying until it becomes easy. I haven't really concentrated much on doing my makeup well. So now is as good a time as I can think of to spend my time in a more creative way. Also I think using makeup may make me feel better and self care is very important right now along with caring for whoever we can in whatever way we can.
That's what I've done with other tutorials, and what I did when I was first starting out! Practice really makes perfect, and I still feel like I have a lot I can improve on 😊
Thank you thank you thank you! For taking the time to explain what you are doing it is extremely helpful for us newbies 💕 beautiful job and beautiful girl xoxo
I’d love a video explaining makeup in a SUPER simple, basic way for beginners. Like explaining the different parts of makeup and what each part does. I honestly still don’t know what highlighter even does lol
I just subscribed to you the other day and bought the palette and just when I thought that I could try it you slap me with that awesome video! Thank you so much, you deserve way more views and subscriber you are so pretty and nice
Hi, I just discovered your channel, and I have to say this was the absolute best eye shadow tutorial ever, thank you. I liked how you pointed out the subtle differences between the two eyes and how taking your time can make it look more “professional”. The final look is so beautiful! Can you tell me which lashes did you use?
Thank you so much for your videos and going slow through them. I found very few that do that. Since you seem really knowledgeable on makeup I have a question. My eyes get really dry even without makeup around my eyes, I do have eye drops but I am scared to use eye drops when I've put eye makeup on because I don't want it to come off. What would you suggest?
I’m glad you like my videos! ☺️ if there’s a way where you can put the eye drops in preemptively that might be easier than putting them in once your makeup is done! If you’re not wearing mascara it shouldn’t be a problem, but once mascara gets wet it typically will smear.
I really struggle with that portion of my eye in the crease. Shadows are stubborn because of my hooded eyes, I’m going to try some of these ideas so I can get a smother look. But I do not have as many issues with the James Charles palette but the naked ones
Have you ever considered doing a video on tips for maintaining long distance relationships? I know you and Joel did that while you were in Orlando and me and I’m sure many others are facing that now with college and quarantine! ❤️
That’s a good idea! It’s been about four years since we did that so I don’t know how accurately I can recall our experience 😂 but it was definitely challenging! I also had a long distance relationship my first year of college that didn’t work out well at all (he cheated on me twice), but I think overall both people have to be fully committed to the relationship, even though it gets really hard.
This look is very easy and simple to do, but I do have a question about it! Would this makeup look be appropriate for a funeral because my husband just passed away this past Wednesday night and even though I love makeup so much, I need to learn to tone it down and keep it respectful for his family at his memorial service so that they don’t go and think that I’m a crazy and careless widow!
First of all I'm so sorry to hear that! If anything, you could maybe not use the shade Benny, and follow the tutorial up until that part (so up until about 12:30). I personally think it would be fine, but up to you if you feel comfortable wearing eyeshadow that dark - that might be the only thing I would change, but I don't know how much makeup you usually wear or feel comfortable wearing. I'm so sorry you have to go through that right now!
I was just thinking the same thing, the shades Benny and spooky would be too dark, so I would probably just stick with the three shades canvas, punch me and tea and I know for sure I’m gonna have to go light handed on the face makeup, such as foundation, concealer, bronzer etc., but thank you, I’m taking his passing really hard just like his family and kids are!
You are so sweet, thank you! I don't wear colored contacts, but my regular contacts do have the slightest blue tint, so if you see a line right outside my iris that's what that is 😊
Hi Kenzie!! I sent you a DM on instagram but I wanted to put it here too just in case! I have a video idea for you! Disney recently dropped some of their park recipes. I would love to see you try them out !! Loved the tutorial ! ❤️
Thanks Haley!! I don't always check my DMs as often as I should so thanks for letting me know! And that is a wonderful idea! I'll have to check out some of their recipes!
