I just broke my wrist 3 weeks ago and needed surgery. I ended passing out from being in shock. It was a very traumatic incident and I am glad Landyn’s recovery was good. Edit: Jess your eyes are gorgeous
One thing you can also do for casts is use saran wrap when he takes a shower. They use it in hospitals they will cover the IV and the room so it doesn’t get wet.
If he gets the cast depending how much liquids on the cast also depends what the liquid is if it’s only water you can take a hairdryer and blow dry the cast because you Gotta keep it dry. My Sergent taught me that when I got water on my cast.
I could totally see Landen being a stunt double for actors in movies when he’s older! 💗 I really hope that he heals and feels 100% better as soon as possible! 💕🙏🏼😘

@@ladyp5828 You have no idea what training or experience I have I'm just glad it's more than you. Its not about his arm. Its about hitting his head and turning blue. If you were any good at your job you would know this is important. At my old job as a teen, we had to call anytime the kids hit their head because one time a kid hurt their head they just gave them ice or whatever but later they had severe concussion symptoms and some bleeding. A girl at a hockey game got hit with a puck, they thought she was okay and an hour later she died. As a nurse you should know a broken leg is many times life threatening, shock is life threatening, you cannot diagnose the situation over the internet. I feel sorry for anyone who has to be your patient. And the only reason I'm replying and saying all this is because your giving wrong information. If anyone is unsure then call 911! They will evaluate for free then tell you their opinion and offer to take the patient in or give other suggestions. And always trust your gut no matter what anybody tells you. Be yours and your child's advocate. THE END!

not trying to sound mean or anything but he isn’t a walking accident he is a walking blessing he just got hurt which everyone does so i don’t think u should go around sayin that
@@allison.m3809 No, it's not my intention to sound a certain way or mean. It's just I've found with all the kiddos I've helped nanny that there are some that just tend to be more daredevil, stunt prone, and tend to have more accidents. So we've (my family/friends) always called those kiddos the walking accidents. Not that it makes them any less of a blessing. We just in my circles prefer the term over daredevil because we don't believe in the "devil". (Religious leanings. ) I find it incredibly interesting how everyone read so deeply into my comment as being negative. It makes me incredibly sad he got hurt, and that he gets hurt so often. But I do love that that's the way he seems to be designed by God, and how much resiliency he has because of it. He truly is a fighter.

Also, by what you described about this hospital/ER department, i definitely would consider going to another one if another freak accident occurs, some facilities can be day & night to each other, even with COVID, believe me, i’ve experienced both
You ROCK IT MOMMA!!! shock is a very real thing for kid's and adults. The way you continuously fought for your little man but without causing him any more fear or pain from an already scary situation is AMAZING!!! this is why we LOVE YOU GIRL! I hope he feels better so so soon. A very similar thing happened to my oldest son (many year's ago now) he required surgery though but I had to do the same thing? I can't imagine what precious child is going to be in that much pain and be that still that silent and have that look ? Mommas know!!
My Grandson recently broke his arm. When Landon goes to the Ortho, make sure to ask if they have the Waterfproof casting available. It does cost a little extra, insurance does not cover it, but I think it was like $85 for the waterproof casting. My daughter got it, because with it being Summer and they have a pool, she wanted him to still be able to enjoy the pool and not have to worry about covering the cast. He can take a bath/shower without any issue at all. It has been well worth the extra little bit of money. I hope Landon's arm heals well and that he is feeling much better in the days to come.
Landen reminds me so much of my son, so seeing him like that broke my heart so much. I’m glad he’s doing so much better. Hoping his arm heals quickly❤️
I love how you filmed this. Too many families concentrate on filming the moment while you clearly put Landon first before filming. Prayers for Landon during recovery.
Why was there any filming at all? Some things shouldn'tbe on the internet (and monetized) for everyone to see, especially when the ones being filmed are minors.
Oh poor Landen! He is so strong 💪. I’m started to cry when no one was listening and he clearly wasn’t okay! I’m so glad he is doing better! Sending him love and hugs to get better! ❤️
Shock can definitely do weird things. When I broke my ankle, I had to call my mom to cancel the dance classes I was supposed to teach. I was able to tell her exactly how to access the phone list, who to call and I was surprisingly calm. I hope Landen feels better soon.
I was the same - I snapped my right fibula and dislocated my right tibia, separating my leg from my foot, and how I had the frame of mind to give telephone numbers to someone before they knocked me out to set my leg in order to load me in an ambulance is beyond me! Because the sight of my foot unattached from my leg was FREAKY!!
Yep! When I got in my car accident (two semi’s involved, makes it a little more strange 😂) I straight up turned down medical assistance at the scene lol. Just kept asking how I’m going to get home and if I could borrow a phone to tell work I wasn’t going to make it in for my shift 😂
You’re such a strong and positive mum. That must have been the scariest thing to deal with. I know from experience with an energetic and hyper active brother how easy it is for him to hurt himself. I feel like he needs to be strapped up with sponges 😂. But stay strong beautiful coz ik you can. We all love you so so much 🥰
I also have a very high pain tolerance, and can say that for me personally, when something REALLY hurts, I go shaky and cold and kind of spaced out as a reaction to it rather than a freak out. I unfortunately have womenly issues which cause me to always be in pain, pretty much constantly, so I don’t know if that’s because I’ve trained myself to not react to it or not, but just thought I would share my experience with it!
I hope Landen is okay . Prayers Love your channel and I feel like when Chirs really wanted to go in the ER I knew That Chirs is an Amazing Father and Jessica you and Chirs are one of My Inspiration
When I broke my foot I did the same thing; he was going in to shock! Thats totally normal with severe trauma/pain. It's the bodies reaction to that happening.
OMG,poor landen I’m glad he’s ok that’s a crazy accident! On the bright side he has a pretty great story to tell!I hope landen is all healed up now!!!❤❤❤
Your treatment at the hospital is such a california thing. When I lived in few other states, no matter how overwhelmed they are they’re not going to be worrying about billing and they’ll be listening to you, and waiting in a line instead of being seated in the ER is just crazy. (I’m a healthcare worker so YES, I do know the ER status right now.)
I highly doubt any other time, before COVID happened there was a line waiting to get into a hospital…. I know someone that had to spend the night in the hallway because they didn’t have any ER rooms open. And I’ve went to the hospital and had them ask me about insurance within the first 5 mins of being there.
that was extremely professional of you to not make a scene. you have every right as a mother to be frustrated but for you to not speak out and cause a scene and understand is amazing.
It’s a California thing. The healthcare sucked out there when we lived there. Now I live in Illinois and we’d never wait for billing or stand in a 15 min line just to tell them the issue!!! So scary.

I don't usually comment but i had to tell you that I literally went through the same thing when I was a kid. I broke both bones in my forearm the night before the first day of 3rd grade. It looked the exact same as Landon's and I also didn't cry. I guarantee he was just in shock and the amount of adrenaline running through his body covered up the pain. I got tired as well afterwards, I think it was the body's response to how much adrenaline was quickly released. And kids are SO resilient, all i was concerned about was going to the first day of school in the morning. Love your videos and family!!

I remember when i was riding my bike one time i was going way to fast and there was a branch in my way i tired to go under it and somehow my bike lost control i tried to catch it my handle bars went sideways i got ejected from my bike and the medal handle bars hit my stomach so hard i had a huge cute i went into shock because i was so scared i didn't cry but i was screaming in pain
Very true, the body usually does that in order to help tolerate the pain.
It’s absolutely crazy how shock impacts you. I’ve had some nasty soccer injuries and I just remember feeling so calm… Landen is so tough. Great job handling all that Jess! Being a mom is hard but you did so well!
Jesss seeing your genuine love and concern for Landen made me feel all the emotions. You're such a great mom ❤
Omg I cried watching you. Being a parent is the most difficult thing especially when one of the babies is not doing well ❤️❤️ live you guys so much
That poor baby. I’m so sorry this happened. What a brave guy.
Definitely takes after his momma for his pain tolerances. He reminds me so much of my little boy. Such a strong momma you are!!!
I felt this fear on a spiritual level. My oldest split her eyebrow open on a metal playground at school and had the same thing happen where she was saying she was so tired. And my 2 youngest broke their wrist A DAY APART! Same fall, same fracture, different arms! Like you said Kids fall all the time but seeing them in pain is an indescribable feeling! Glad our buddy Landon is okay ❤️❤️❤️
My sister and I both broke our arms within one week of each other lol. My right arm her left arm haha
I've learned this lesson to just always call the ambulance! That way your baby is still being seen by a medical professional. The paramedics are awesome and still do an assessment. Prayers for Landon❤
I wonder if Landen was in shock. That could explain him being quiet and passing out. Too much to process for his little body 😪 poor guy, I'm glad he got through this
I was thinking the same thing
I think he needs to see a neurologist.
Always scary to see your kid go through something like this! You definitely always need to speak up for your child/ask questions if you don't feel right about what's going on medically, so you did the right thing. I'm glad he's doing okay. I appreciate you talking about how scared you were, but you understand what hospital staff is going through, also. My mom works xray at her local hospital and she says they are so understaffed right now because of people on medial leaves, and they have to work overtime and aren't allowed to call out or have any vacation time right now, so it is super tough!!
Jessica you are by far my favorite TH-cam or and I love how your kids always come first and you and Chris are definitely an inspiration!
no because when you said all they care about is them paying you, IS SO TRUE!! the amount of times i have been in the ER, this is honestly so true. and you did the right thing!
I’m literally crying listening to you ! You are such an amazing mother and than when you said the part where Chris just sat outside waiting for hours trying to get back there I went in to tears because I been following you since the beginning and I’m so happy Chris came in you and your babies life ! I love you all and he is such a strong little boy I hope he’s ok now ❤️
I don’t usually comment but I’ve watched you for years now and let me just say that you are one badass mama. I aspire to be like you when I have kids one day. You love your kids with your whole being, you support them in everything, and you advocate for them when they need it most without ever skipping a beat. Your kids will know how lucky they are when they grow up. I am so happy and relieved that your little guy is okay. I’ve always had a soft spot for Landen, what a brave and sweet little boy he is. Sending him love and wishes for a speedy recovery. ❤️
Those teachers were probably like.
“Oh Landen! What happened to you. You’re scrapped up pretty bad!”
The next day
“HOLY CRAP LANDEN WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU?!”
That’s pretty much exactly how it went 😂💔
They’re probably not going to let him do anything at recess from now on. Nope you go read a book sir!
@@leslier.1236 Bruh reeding sucks I hate it XD
I just broke my wrist 3 weeks ago and needed surgery. I ended passing out from being in shock. It was a very traumatic incident and I am glad Landyn’s recovery was good.
Edit: Jess your eyes are gorgeous
Nervous to watch this one, but haven't missed one in about 11 years won't start now. Hope your all doing okay now 💜💜
Same lmao
Me too
same 😅
Same here! I don't know if I dare watch or not LOL
He’s such a strong little kid! I would be balling my eyes out the whole time! Glad he’s okay and hoping for a fast recovery!
Omg watching that video you took of Landen brought tears to my eyes. I can’t imagine what you were feeling Jess. I’m so happy he’s okay!!🤍
Landen
When I saw Jess cry I started to tear too
It’s so loving that Chris isn’t his dad and sat outside for hours for him🥰
One thing you can also do for casts is use saran wrap when he takes a shower. They use it in hospitals they will cover the IV and the room so it doesn’t get wet.
This is BRILLIANT!
If he gets the cast depending how much liquids on the cast also depends what the liquid is if it’s only water you can take a hairdryer and blow dry the cast because you Gotta keep it dry. My Sergent taught me that when I got water on my cast.
@@JesssFam I did not break my foot I am having surgery because I tore two tenants that I lived with for 7 1/2 months.
@@JesssFam you can also use a trash bag .
When I broke my arm we used a bread bag
I could totally see Landen being a stunt double for actors in movies when he’s older! 💗 I really hope that he heals and feels 100% better as soon as possible! 💕🙏🏼😘
After everything my family has been through these last few days I can only imagine what you are going through as a momma and Chris as a dad. Seeing Landon like that definitely brought me to tears. That poor baby boy. He is a tough cookie. Stay safe and give your family some extra love. Love you guys.
Your kids are so grateful and respectful. It’s so beautiful to see. U are doing such a great job raising them. U, Chris and mimi are just perfect people
“My fish died” Oh, Landen! I love you 🥺💛
I am so sorry you had to through this. Been through the ER system so much in my life and it's always like this, even without current events. It's a horrible system. Next time, PLEASE CALL 911. He'll be evaluated by EMTs immediately and be under a professional's care even if he's not in the ER yet. Wishing you and Landen the best!
And you get back so much quicker. Its always better to be safe than sorry. I'm with you our family has to deal with ERs and hospitals a lot and its not because of covid. Unfortunately you have to work the system sometimes. Not abuse of course but you have to advocate for sure.
@@ladyp5828 He wasn't in any danger? He turned blue and hit his head! That is danger. If you're not a fan, then why are you watching her videos?
@@ladyp5828 Who are you to say he wasn't in danger? You weren't there. Not to mention he hit his head and his circulation changed. He absolutely warranted calling an ambulance. You're just being a troll. Go get a life.
@@ladyp5828 A broken arm is a life threatening situation for me. So you don't know peoples situation. I love how you're pushing this so hard to someone who was trained in exactly this field.
THE END!
My dad is an orthopedic surgeon and I don’t know if you already bought the shower cover, but he would tell all his patients that you can just get the umbrella covers (at the grocery stores) for showers. Idk if there’s a difference between that and the trash bag but it’s just a quick fix as well! Hope he feels better!
Omg where were you at when I needed it 💔
We got the cover from amazon and omg it was a life saver
As a mom of 2 kids and this made me cry! I couldn’t imagine going through this! You’re a strong mama!
Love how Landon truly is a walking accident. You started and then ended with two different accidents. Poor boy. He's wild. 😭😭😂
I’m pretty sure Landon doesn’t love he’s a walking accident. That was very scary 😬
not trying to sound mean or anything but he isn’t a walking accident he is a walking blessing he just got hurt which everyone does so i don’t think u should go around sayin that
I feel so sorry for Jess and Landon ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
@@allison.m3809 clearly Jess knew what was meant by the comment and didn’t take offense since she liked it
@@allison.m3809 No, it's not my intention to sound a certain way or mean.
Oh my heart can’t handle this amazing little human.. god bless his soul.. i wish him a quick recovery.. i love you all so much..
I’m in the UK and work on a COVID ward, every time I hear of US hospitals of ‘billing’ a patient it makes my blood boil, thankful for the NHS, health care should be a human right not a privilege
Poor baby!! He’s such a brave boy! The last few minutes of him sleeping remind you that he’s still a little boy ❤️
I'm so happy Landen is feeling a bit better. He's got the best family! I'm sending hugs and healing vibes his way!
That boy is as strong as his mama. I think I feel drawn to Landon because he reminds me of my son when he was younger. I feel for you hun. I wouldn't have been as....calm as you were. My baby is not himself and hurt....no one can blame mom for being protective. Proud mama! I hope he's feeling better
Poor Landen :( hes so incredibly strong and brave! We love you sm Landen, I really hope you feel better soon
Also, by what you described about this hospital/ER department, i definitely would consider going to another one if another freak accident occurs, some facilities can be day & night to each other, even with COVID, believe me, i’ve experienced both
I was on the edge of my seat through this entire video, so glad Landen is okay💜 been watching since the twins were born!
She wasn’t there according to her neighbor. The boys were alone and she had them re enact the fall. 🤦♀️
We all love you so so much 🥰
I really hope he's okay. Poor baby
Seeing Landen’s arm crooked is so shocking and painful Jess is such a good mom 😍
@@princessses2892 no
@@princessses2892 he didn’t break it before
@@princessses2892 she said on IG that its the other arm 😅
I highly doubt any other time, before COVID happened there was a line waiting to get into a hospital…. I know someone that had to spend the night in the hallway because they didn’t have any ER rooms open. And I’ve went to the hospital and had them ask me about insurance within the first 5 mins of being there.
I live in Texas and that’s the first thing they do here too. Make you sign all those papers to make sure you pay. Frustrating
that was extremely professional of you to not make a scene. you have every right as a mother to be frustrated but for you to not speak out and cause a scene and understand is amazing.
Jess I’m glad Landon is doing so much better ! I shed tears when I saw the clip of you crying in the hospital
I cried while watching. It’s just a mama thing. Glad he’s back to normal. Strongest and amazing mama you are. 🤍
Landen is so brave hope your all well! And hope you feel better soon landen!🥰
It’s a California thing. The healthcare sucked out there when we lived there. Now I live in Illinois and we’d never wait for billing or stand in a 15 min line just to tell them the issue!!! So scary.
Already saw from your Instagram stories that he broke it. Hope he is recovering well💛💛
Its the sweetest thing to see kids sleeping restfully after getting hurt! Landen - smooth healing buddy!
@jessfam that was a clean break, it didn't break the skin which is also good. I'm a nursing student so I've seen x-rays of broken bones.
Your such an amazing mama! I am inspired by your strength and confidence. I also admire that your not afraid to admit when your scared. You did the right thing for him and fought for your child! I thank God that nothing is seriously wrong with his head and no internal injuries took place in his head! You all are amazing people who inspire others every day! God Bless, love you guys!

Gosh he is a freaking trooper! Hope you feel better Landon ❤️❤️❤️
