Trivia --- Just for you all to know how long Dusty has been in the game. He was playing for the Dodgers and batting over 300 in the early 80's when his team took on the Houston Astros. Pitching that day for the Astros was Nolan Ryan. He grounded out Dusty that day in the last at bat of the ballgame.....It was Nolan Ryan's 5th No-hitter.

2002 I remember clearly, when the Giants blew Russ Ortiz's gem in Game 6 in Anaheim. Til this day I'm still a huge Dusty / Giants fan ... and I'm so happy for him today.

The Braves didn't appreciate him, nor did the Cubs, the Reds or the Nationals.....The Astros got it right and now they are World Series Champions because of that solid appreciation of Mr. Baker.
Reds fan here - I'm so ecstatic for Dusty right now. He led my Reds - THE REDS- to three playoff berths. Dusty is one of the greatest managers of all time. Every team he manages makes the playoffs and most make the world series. But more than that, he's just a great, great human being. Congratulations Dusty!
Been a baseball fan all my life, in these day and age with all the people embracing advanced analytics, I like how Dusty still manage the team and the game the old school way, that's how the baseball supposed to be in the first place.....
Dusty remind me of some of the all time greats. I place him in the rank of greatness. When I was watching this interview and watching how he managed his games I could not help but thank of Tom Landry.
Dusty I was a die hard PADRE fan growing up in San Diego in the mid 70s always enjoyed watching the dodgers when they came into town with Garvey lopes cey and yes you dusty my favorite dodger dusty you're the man enjoy congratulations

Back in 2002, Dusty was managing against his old Dodgers' teammate, Mike Scocia (forgive the misspelling). Mike won that year with the Angels, but now both of them have World Championships as managers. I guess Tommy Lasorda is smiling up above for Dusty.

As a life long Yankee fan, I am happy for Dusty Baker. He managed the Astros better than the other 31 managers hence the reason for winning the WS.
