FC is for Federal Cartridge. I still use a 35 Remington. I realize it's not a straight wall cartridge but I have a 45-70 if I need a straight wall. The 35 Rem allows me to load 180, 200 and 220 grain bullets; great old cartridge.
Remington, CCI, Federal, all part of vista. Look at their websites and aside from color theyre identical. More power to em though. We need as much manufacturing of NORMAL ammo as we can get.
The 350 Legend is gaining in popularity by the day and it has become a popular feral pig round in Texas as well. Federal owned Remington might be expected to get on the bandwagon to offer ammunition for this very popular hunting cartridge. That said in Texas at least, many use FMJs for big hogs as the ammo is cheap and it penetrates well and breaks bones when needed. Core Lokts are expensive. It will be interesting to see how well they sell. Not a comment on the quality, just on the overall situation and this is my speculation over how this would turn out especially in Texas.
Always good to have more options but for a 180gr cup and core bullet in 35 caliber... that bullet's going to zip right through a deer from most angles. I haven't taken a deer with my 350 Legend yet but the guy I bought it from took three using the Hornady FTX, 160 or 165 Gr and he said he only recovered one out of three bullets and it opened up a bit and fragmented a little bit. I did get about 180 more rounds of that same ammo from him. Mine is dialed in for the Barnes VorTX stuff and it also shoots the Winchester Power Max which hits very close to the same point at 100 and 150 yards. Rifle is a 16" AR
Who Tee, i bought a Ruger Gen ll Standard in 350 Legend and took 4 kinds of ammo with me to the range and the first i tried was Winchester 170 grain and it shot 3/4" groups and i never tried the other 3 kinds of ammo. I was totally .satisfied and took 3 deer with that setup.
Getting to be time to get some glasses there, Adam? Remington marks their brass with R P for Remington Peters, and Federal marks are brass FC for Federal cartridge. I'd like to see them bump up to a 190 grain bullet. 200 grains in the 35. Remington, is an all-time classic recipe. The 350 is running just a smidge below 35 Remington velocity, but I would think it could do well with a 190 class bullet.
My son shot his deer with Remington 350 Legend this year. Went all of 30yds and piled up. We were previously using Federal Power Shok and I too noticed the same ballistics. They grouped nearly the same. On a related note, our best ammo grouping for 350 was the Federal Fusion 160gr. We still have a box or 2 here at the house, but havent been able to find it anywhere for a couple of years now. Would love to see it back!
I have seen in Writing, twice..., Gun Writers claiming, Remington Core Lokts have a hour glass shape inches lead Core and this attributes to its perfect mushrooming and shank retention. I was at my local Cabela's last night and 90%of the shotgun ammo was gone along with a very low supply of everything else. Even 45 Colt and 45-70 were down to almost zero.
That’s nice to see. Since Federal or who owns Federal also owns Remington ammo, they should be pretty much the same. I know that when I look on the back of the boxes of 360 Buckhammer 200 grains and 180s the velocity and energy specs are exactly the same. The head stamps are RP for Remington and F C for Federal. I just saw that Henry FINALLY put their Supreme rifle in 5.56/223 and 300 BLK out for the public to get. Might have to do some horse trading and get one unless Henry will send you one for review. If I had the money 💰 I would love one in 300 BLK and a shoosh can.
WOO HOO!!! I love Remington Core-Lokt!!! My Ruger Gen 1 Ranch 350 Legend LOVES 180 grain. Thank you!!!!! I can’t wait to get some and hit the range, weather permitting!

Dude, when i finally get my butt down there we gotta hang/hunt/ play Guitar ! My 2 oldest will be starting the search for property to start our Compound east of Chatanugga.
Told you federal is crap. When they start loading the 55 grain core lock again for the 22-250 I'll be happy the high performance rifle ain't the same stuff. It's not the same projectile trust me. Since you got some pull at Remington get them loading that 22-250 core lock again
@WHOTEEWHO it's not it's just a regular soft point I've got one box of the core left it's my go to deer round. I tried the express rifle but it don't punch through I find the exploded jacket on the other side of the deer
Why not do an outlier build in 22 creedmoor havn't you got something you could rebarrel or get something cheap at tollivers to host an outlier barrel in 22 creed
My short barreled Ruger does best with 170 gr Hornady whitetail !! I’ve several, federal’s weren’t too bad, But 170 only dropped 6” at 200 yds with a 100 yd sight in !! I’ll Tri these Remingtons out if I find them locally 😊

I actually picked up 2 boxes of this back in November. Didn’t realize it was a new thing I just grabbed it cuz I knew I didn’t have any
I just sighted my gun in with this today. That's funny you post this today.
Awesome
New camo , new ammo is a good day
Absolutely
Can't wait to see gel test they Is chronograph great out of gen 2 ruger american 20in
I bought a box back in November from my Walmart... it shoots pretty good.
When you group testing it??
This week
My sister just got an axiss 350 to replace her old deer gun. She's a Remington fan.
Nice
Dude, when i finally get my butt down there we gotta hang/hunt/ play Guitar !
My 2 oldest will be starting the search for property to start our Compound east of Chatanugga.
Told you federal is crap. When they start loading the 55 grain core lock again for the 22-250 I'll be happy the high performance rifle ain't the same stuff. It's not the same projectile trust me. Since you got some pull at Remington get them loading that 22-250 core lock again
I know they load it in "express rifle" which for all I know is the same as corelokt
@WHOTEEWHO it's not it's just a regular soft point I've got one box of the core left it's my go to deer round. I tried the express rifle but it don't punch through I find the exploded jacket on the other side of the deer
@Frenchbroadcatman. I have killed 2 deer with the Remington 50gr varmint load too 🤷♂️.
@WHOTEEWHO so have I same load I think I recommended it to you
Found it 3 weeks ago at the Wally World by me in Florida had to get it for my son lol
Home Goods happy dance. Can't wait to see it become the next big thing.
Great news, Brother Hoot, I love Tree-Fiddy Legend! This cartridge is here to Stay, Ya'll.🎉 Git Sum! 🥳
Michigan still has extended doe. 4 has my freezer full
Why not do an outlier build in 22 creedmoor havn't you got something you could rebarrel or get something cheap at tollivers to host an outlier barrel in 22 creed
25 creedmoor
That’s so me in our Walmart I don’t shop much but when I go there I run to hunting fishing sporting section first then the food section
Yup!
@ on your next upload you should do a big bore caliber show down power and compare if you haven’t already
Heard anything on new 360 buck hammer ammunition
Not yet
Hey whotee, when are we gonna see some hamdloads? Or is that just a patron thing?
Already have several handload videos. More soon
Believe it or not i actually just bought a ruger guide gun left handed in 375 ruger, at a walmart 😂
Nice
My short barreled Ruger does best with 170 gr Hornady whitetail !! I’ve several, federal’s weren’t too bad, But 170 only dropped 6” at 200 yds with a 100 yd sight in !! I’ll Tri these Remingtons out if I find them locally 😊
.338 creedmore??
