The original sweet tobacco spirits is still one of the best cold weather scents! Projection monster that gets so many compliments
Now what's crazy I picked up the soap in anticipation for this and it's downright wonderful. It's dark, musky, vanilla, the oud smells like that smell if fresh cut into wood at a woodshop. I absolutely adore it
The Noble Oud body wash is really nice.
Hi Ash...I agree with your initial reaction. However, after about 15 minutes Noble Oud settles down nicely and smells just like their 18.21 Noble Oud body wash. I think you should give the dry down a try and create a follow up video for 18.21 Noble Oud. I even received a couple of compliments the first day which is rare.

I purchased at least 5 bottles of the OG 18.21, kept a few for myself and gifted the others. I've been waiting since 2017 for them to release a new fragrance. Today I saw a video by Redoessense, and as per usual he gave it a glowing review and said nothing negative about it. Then I come across your video, absolutely ripping it to shreds.
To be fair, I trust neither of you all that much. Redo criticizes nothing and praises everything like a corporate stooge, and you will give 10/10 as long as a fragrance is sickly sweet and has a half-life of 72 hours.
Most opinions I've seen about this fragrance lean very favorable. Seems possible that you either got a flawed product, or you hate it since it is not sickly sweet raised to the tenth power.
Definitely going to try this one out for myself to be sure.
I have it and I like it. I actually like it better than the Sweet Tobacco Spirits - although the Sweet Tobacco body wash, face lotion, and body lotion are all amazing. The Noble Oud Spirits is okay upon application; however, it really shines after 1/2 an hour or so. I have the same experience with the Noble Oud body wash.
I got my bottle the other day and I also like it. I’m not giving up on it.
They came out with multiple “new” shampoo fragrances for men since 2017. Plus you can grab this if you are a barber or hairstylist at the supply house for like 45$

I wish more reviewers were willing to post negative reviews. People these days seem to feel that expressing that something is negative in some way, is negative itself. But i find it hard to trust someone who thinks everything is good and positive.
Negative reviews do end up getting a negative reaction from more commenters I think. Usually the safer thing is positive reviews so that's one reason you see more positive ones overall

Never bought into the hype of Sweet Tobacco Spirits yrs back when all reviewers had it and pushing in their reviews. But I never got to try it so I had my reservations about not giving it a chance. Well today has come,with the discount code,$63 ain’t a bad price in finally getting it and checking all the hype years back. Just in time for fall and winter use.

I just found that they had fragrance. The sweet tobacco hair paste I have the sent lasts 8 hours and smells nice. I feel the fragrance is in the paste. It and Spicebomb were great together today.

Well... got mine today and... I call BS on your review. It's not comparable to the Sweet Tobacco but is nothing like you describe. It is close to Royal Oud, nore synthetic but it smells like oud and last a lot.
Maybe you did not get paid as you wish? No other reason to trash it this way.

Wow, what a brutal review. Although I can see how some would be put off by Noble Oud's scent profile, I'm going to have to disagree with this review. Bad review. Not because Ashton doesn't have a sophisticated nose or developed appreciation or anything like that. We just have a Rorsach-type difference on this. Or, he isn't interpreting the scent profile the same way I am. Roja Burlington 1819. Take that and mix it with Houbigant Bois Mystique, or Burlington 1819 and Bois Mystique/Creed Royal Oud hybrid. It's the Burlington 1819 comparison that gives Noble Oud that "high pitched" citrus characteristic Ash alluded to. The "bright lemon rind" and "ripe grapefruit" of Noble Oud equates roughly to the grapefruit and lemon of Burlington 1819. It gives it a sort of screechy, quasi sour accord that some may find offputting but I find interesting and not offputting. And I don't agree with Ashton re incense. I do get an incense-like accord that I assume has something to do with the "smokey oud" note. I also don't agree with Ashton that Noble Oud doesn't have any depth. I think it has depth. I think this is just a Rorsach like difference in noses.
This is a shocker considering how amazing the Noble Oud body wash smells. I wonder if you got a bad bottle.

It smells like royal oud. Smells great. Respect his opinion, but try it for yourself. Stuff smells great and lasts all day
This one smells absolutely nothing like Royal Oud. It seriously lasts maybe 45 minutes and is just not there quality-wise. It's possible my bottle is bunk, but I guarantee you if you smelled what is in my bottle you wouldn't be able to compare it to Royal Oud (which is a favorite Creed of mine).
@@extragentsscents wonder if you have a bad bottle. I sprayed mine @1300 and here it is 8 hours later smelling it easily in the air don’t even have to go looking for it. I believe you 💯, I’m just getting a completely different experience

The body wash resembles Royal Oud to a degree.. Would have figured the fragrance would do the same.
It's not close but I'll revisit it down the line and see if it smells better with time

Sweet tobacco had amazing performance. Wish it actually smelled like tobacco.
Yeah, ironically it just came in the mail for me today. It mostly smells like spicy vanilla to me. I'm not getting crazy performance though. I sprayed it on one arm and Al Haramain Tobacco Oud on the other. Al Haramain won the projection and longevity battle.
@@paulrobertson3079 the opening isn’t great, but I did get a lot of compliments on the dry down. Some past the 12 hr mark.
@@MPerry-ox9qb I only did one spray on the forearm so it's not exactly the best test either. How many sprays did you go with?
When it first came out it didn't have tobacco as an official note. I think they added it in as an official note after the fact but that was funny at the time.

Good afternoon. You need to give it a chance through several days of proper testing like the other fragrances, or revisit it in the future. One time isn't enough or a fair chance.

unfortunately I received mine 3 day's ago ! I sprayed it several times in the air and smelled a bit citrus and mostly spiced woods. but didn't try on skin yet" I just sat it in the back of my fragrance collection. ( maybe will let it sit back there for a couple of month's and maybe all the notes will come up and maybe the fragrance needs to mature more lol lol lol 😃
Hopefully that's the case for this fragrance, only reason why I purchased this fragrance was the only quick fragrance review i saw on it the guy kept repeating that the fragrance smells amazing! how good it was and when I messaged him in regards to the fragrance he told me it smelled better than royal oud !!!!! lol lol lol 😃
Yeah it's not in the same stratosphere as RO. I'll revisit it in a couple weeks time but first impressions were obviously not good, haha

Perhaps they didn't care for the honest review below ;): Imagine my delight when it was announced that there would be a new 18.21 Man Made fragrance released. I had such high hopes, especially given that the original fragrance is one of my favorites. I knew this would be a departure from the original which made this purchase even more intriguing. The notes are extremely misleading and the fact that it had Oud in the title but nothing resembling a natural or synthetic oud note exists was more than disappointing. Again, I was not expecting real oud for $65, however I have many frags that can emulate that note well, but this is not one of them. It smells like a Mrs. Meyer cleaning product which isn't the worst thing, but considering the fragrance description on the website, this is not on par with the quality usually produced here. Longevity AND Projection is atrocious, its gone in 30 min. Such high hopes, yet so disappointed.
Man that's disappointing. Sweet tobacco spirits is amazing. I also really enjoy the body washes that 18.21 has. Noble oud body wash is probably my favorite bodywash they have. So disappointing that the cologne is terrible.
I won't lie. I fell for it. Ordered FB w discount code. Got excited for an amazing STS follow-up. NO. Everything Ash has said is 100% spot on. It's terrible and my worst pickup of this year. So, so disappointed. Don't be like me, boys!

I've seen a couple comments saying it's supposed to be a Royal Oud clone. I almost wonder if their batch variation is completely out of control because obviously what we got is not remotely close

Ive seen a few people on facebook say the same thing and that it smells amazing. Of course, having worked in manufacturing, there are often times many issues with a new product rollout. Will be interesting to see if anything comes of it.
@@extragentsscents I’m not getting that comparison at all. This is not even in the same universe as Royal Oud to my nose. You said it best: It’s like they started a fragrance (poorly) and just quit. No mid, no base. Flat, synthetic, irritating, lemon pledge. I’m glad you told it like it is so others know to pass on this and save some $$.
@@paulrobertson3079 Good point. As I recall the original rollout of Sweet Tobacco Spirits had a leaky bottle issue-bad crimping or something? In any case I won’t be giving this one another try even if they fix it.

That was what I thought it would possibly be but whatever is in my bottle is not remotely close to RO. A few other people have commented that theirs is really cheap smelling as well unfortunately so I don't think I got a bad bottle.
The review about Noble Oud is unusually harsh. It makes me wonder if they are underlying issues 🤔. I liked it and I ordered a backup bottle, now at 30% off. Maybe my nose is not as sophisticated.

Gents Scents, I made a mistake to be critical of you. I apologize. My first bottle leaked and I sprayed it on my arm and I have to press my nose to my arm to smell it.
My sincere apologies 😕. You are right. To make matters worse, I bought two bottles based on my previous experience with sweet Tobacco. Imagine!!! I just emailed 1821 to express my disappointment.
I just got a bottle of the sweet tobacco because of the samples that I received. The bottle is HORRIBLE compared to the samples! I feel like I was duped! Customer service is NONEXISTENT! I’m highly disappointed in this company. What alternatives do you recommend?
