Cautionary note when working with airbags is appropriate.
There is a central console computer module that looks like a hard drive of a computer. That needs to be reset or replaced before installing new one. The codes on the drive are what computers from the sensors to deploy an airbag.
There are devices that erase the codes, not just clearing the cel on the dash.
They cost around $50. Replacing a new computer module can be $800. It is tied to the vin and reprogramming by the dealer. I pulled my module sent it to a computer lab who erased it and returned mine. $50.

This should apply only when replacing or changing out the currently installed steering wheel airbag with a brand new from the dealer or used one from a parts vehicle, correct? Not just when removing it temporarily to access the Cruise control switch (as shown in video) or the steering wheel control switch (volume and change song buttons, bluetooth phone buttons, etc.) which is not shown in the video, but could easily be referenced and it's removal should be just about identical, except it's located on the left side of the steering wheel and not the right side like the cruise control switch. As shown in video, not necessary to remove the airbag completely out of the steering wheel hardware, located on the left hand of the steering wheel, unless the airbag is defective and needs to be changed, or was deployed in the case of an accident. Thank you for your comment. But the presumption needed further clarification to avoid confusion on future readers;Ge
