  • We invite you to join us for Conversations with Jewish Believers in Jesus, hosted by Jeff Morgan. In this full length interview, Jeff speaks with Dr. Michael Sischy.
Dr. Michael Sischy qualified as a General Medical Practitioner from the University of the Witwatersrand in 1993. He joined Jews for Jesus in January 1999 after being active in the state and private health care sectors for five years. Michael comes from a traditional Orthodox Jewish background. His mother's death from colon cancer in 1990 started him on a search for answers to life's tough questions, and in 1994 he found the answers in Y'shua.

I am from Texas and brought up as a christian. Accepted Christ as my Savior at age 5. I have always known that my Savior is Jewish. I love this channel. It brings me closer to Him and I thank you for all you do. I wear a star of David with a cross in the middle. It starts conversations with strangers that lead to me sharing Jesus as Savior of the world.

You have no idea how much this helped me. I can only say thankyou. I was raised catholic, but when i saw pics of ww2, i lost my faith. I heard a voice saying "where is your God now?". I had always always loved God. But I lost my faith and after studying every religion i could find, my friend led me to the bible. And the Lord. I gave my life to the Lird at 28. I am now 66 , and I need him more every day. My children are half Jewish thru blood, but have given their lives to God. My grandaughter has been asking me about God since she could talk. She gave her life to God at age 7 - which she is now. Thankyou for your program. It has helped me so much . The holicaust and suffering has been my stumbling block. Yes, we must love ALL people. Thankyou

I am an old woman now bit ever since I began to learn about how the Jewish people have been so persecuted and continue to be maligned and targeted as people to be marginalized and mistreated I have been confounded and broken hearted by this
I am a Christian and I cannot find any basis in the New Testament that would give anyone grounds to believe this is somehow a Christian thing to do or believe is right
I want to be able to share with Jewish friends the freedom and love I have experienced in having faith that Jesus is my Savior my healer and my friend but all this horror is a huge hurdle to cross and also I really struggle with why did God even allow this to happen
It makes there be a very broken place in my heart Anda very difficult thing to resolve for my own faith

dear friend, God did not “allow” this. Satan has done a bang up job of having Gods Children questioning Gods love. But the truth is, Satan came to kill, steal, and destroy. In the garden, God gave mankind dominion of the earth, along with free will. The choice to choose Him. He did the most loving thing possible, He sent His Beloved Son to die for us. So it’s really, if God did not love us, why did He send His son to die? That is the ONLY thing that matters. Our hope lies in Him, and knowing that He turns all bad to good! We don’t know how many were turned to Jesus during that, or any of the horrendous evils that occur in this life, that is a vapor, a must. He always uses what satan intends for bad, for the ultimate good. We witness that in events during our in lives, and bc of that, know that it applies to everyone! So we hold fast to the faith. Our true life, that will have no tears, no misery, no evil, will be forever, with Him. Our faith lies in Him, and with that faith we hold on, for dear life, the Truth:that He did everything He could to bring us back to Him. Knowing that, we give our life to Him, trusting Him during the trials, with an understanding that we may not have all the answers, yet, but we have the one thing we need now, Jesus.
May God bless you, and continue to shine His face upon you. 🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻

You were badly catechized, if only one holocaust (genocide) in history had that effect and didn't read the Bible as Catholic. Also, the Church's teaching was not to harm Jews ("sicut Judæos non" is the papal bull; look it up), unless they subverted Christian society, which also happened in history, as did also sins of Christians.

@@clarekuehn4372 amen! suffering, temptations, trials, they all happen. We are told they will happen. But God is not sitting on the throne saying “approved” “denied”. In Genesis, He gave men dominion of the earth, the god of the world is satan. Things happen but not bc He is “allowing” them. He doesn’t want them to happen, but bc He is so merciful and loving, He turns what satan intends to harm us, into good, for His glory.

It's possible for us long time believers to become sort of blase' about Jesus, God, the Holy Ghost. In 2017 my husband invited two men he had met at a Christian retreat to our home for dinner. He had mentioned they carry the Holy Spirit so I was excited to meet them. At dinner, we began by holding hands during the prayer of thanksgiving. When my husband came to the end of that prayer, in that moment I was transported instantaneously from my dining room to the other side of the curtain with Jesus. I could not see Him, but I knew it was Him who was holding His hand on my heart and was super infusing me with His agape love. The power of this was so strong it felt as if the sun was inside my body and the energy was so enormous my body could not contain it. It felt like light was oozing out of every pore of my body. I immediately knew it was Jesus and began worshipping Him while His love flowed through my body. My family witnessed what was going on and didn’t understand what was happening, but the two men did. They encouraged my husband and daughter to just believe it. They saw my body sitting there, but didn’t understand what was happening. After what felt like was only five minutes, I came back to this side. My heart was racing so hard from the energy that was infused into me, it took 15 minutes to calm down and for my heart rate to be normal. When I finally could speak, and we began to share what just happened, I was told I was gone almost a half an hour. I knew this was true because at one point, everyone decided to eat their dinner as they watched me praising Jesus on the other side, their plates were empty. My 25 year old daughter told me that she was confused as to what was going on with me. She looked at the two men and they reassured her that it was okay and to just believe. She reached over and touched my back and she was pulled into the Holy Spirit as well. She said she had energy flowing through her and her heart was overwhelmed in that moment. My son was eating his dinner in the living room where he had a Birds Eye view of the dining table. He told me that he felt the energy as well and he smelled roses. When I returned to this side, one of the Holy men said that Jesus gave him a message. He told him to take Jason, my son, to the Santisimo at the church. This Santisimo, is a cave behind a Catholic Church where there is a statue of Mary inside and very small pews where you can sit and pray. We knew more miracles were going to happen so we all hopped in our vehicles and went to the church. We had been there on two other occasions and it was open but this time when we got there it was closed. I immediately knew we were kept from the next blessing because we didn’t listen to Jesus’ instructions for Bryan to take my son to the Santisimo. He did not say Everyone go to the Santisimo. I felt I had bilked my sign out of his blessing by not listening to the instructions. The next day was Monday and it was 9 am when my daughter appeared at my job. When she came through the door, I looked up and she said “Did this really happen to us” and she ran into my arms and we just started bawling. The energy from Jesus flowed through my body for about a month. It was the most incredible moment of my life and it absolutely proved to me that Jesus was real and active in todays world. I hope this inspires someone who needs to know they are following a living God, HE IS REAL.

Hi and thank you for your ministry ❤️🙏
I was born in Holland to Dutch Indonesian parents, but my mom also had French, German, and Chinese ancestry, so I’m quite mixed up.
I lived in America for 40 years and now live in Canada.
My parents were in Japanese prison camps in Indonesia during WW2. My mom held a very deep hatred and anger towards Japanese and Koreans for many years since that wartime. My mom was also angry with God and decided to be an atheist. Fast forward to 1991. My mom was suffering from a chronic illness but doctors could not figure out what was wrong with her. A friend of hers directed her to a GP that she thought could help her. He was Korean, and a Christian. He ran all kinds of tests but the answer to her problem eluded him. One day meeting with her for a scheduled appointment, he asked my mom (which he could sense didn’t really like nor trust him) to pray with him. He confessed to many sleepless nights trying to figure out the problem. She reluctantly consented and he held her shoulders as they prayed for the Lord to lead him to know what to do for my mom. She told me that as he prayed all the anger, the hurt, the hatred, all melted away and she felt the love of God encompass her. Shortly after that he ran a test looking for hepatitis C antibodies and discovered that was what the problem was. She had several months of interferon treatments after which it went into complete remission.
My mom passed away a few years ago. After that moment with Dr. Shin she was a transformed woman. She used to have a terrible temper but after that day God made her compassionate and sweet. I have the peace of knowing that the Lord saved my mom and that she is now with Jesus.
You guys nailed it when you stated that God is a God of reconciliation. ❤️👍🏼🙏

@@jewsforjesus I just watched your testimony (part of it?) on One for Israel. I was brought up SDA by my dad, my mom went along with it begrudgingly but thought the members were all hypocrites. My dad was abusive which made my mom only hate God even more. I married a Mormon, divorced, went into new age movement, channeling spirits, using drugs “recreationally”until the Lord used a pastor to speak to me in a way that opened my eyes to where I was headed and it terrified me. I begged Jesus to please save me. That was in 1988. I tried and failed to convince my mom to turn to Jesus. God did it through Dr. Shin, a Korean of all people!! You have to see the amazing irony of that because my mom’s hatred and distrust of Koreans was enormous. But He used the trauma of what the Japanese and Koreans did to her and her 5 sisters in prison camp, and used a Korean physician to heal her body and soul. I’m so blessed, and like you’ve stated, I also do not deserve it. Amazing grace. 🙂🙏

I am a Gentile woman who understood the Jewish roots of my faith, and am truely grateful for the witness left by the the Jewish people who introduced us Gentiles to the One True God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Jewish tribe carried the Good News Around the world. I have had the privilege of being grafted in, a wild olive twig, into the Olive Tree that is Israel. Love entered me when I met the Messiah. I am not Jewish, but as a twelve year old read my first Holocaust survival book and was so grieved that any human could treat another human being with such beastly cruelty. That led me to read stacks of other survivor's biographies. I wanted to understand why people could behave like what I read about. My heart grieved for Jewish people and I began to pray for God's precious chosen children. I had the privilege of attending a Passover celebration by a Jewish Rabbi who found Jesus. A veil was lifted off of my eyes and I saw the Jewish foundation of my faith. My gratitude for the witness of God's chosen people who kept careful historical records and faithfully scribed the scriptures to share the unique truth of who our creator is, and how to become one of His children. Your Messuah is also my Messiah, and I am awed. Thank you for this podcast and thank you for the amazing testimonies of encounters with our beautiful Savior. I continue to pray for the Jewish people around the globe. I am now 73, and am so excited to see His people discover His presence, receive forgiveness, and be spiritually reborn. Praise His Holy Name. I had the opportunity to attend a Messianic Congregation fir several years. Jews and Gentiles worshipping together was extraordinary.

Hi, I am a descendent of Noah and Adam and that's about all I know of my ancestry, but I love your channel and the people you interview. This interview, in particular, I really loved. Dr Sischy struck me as a very honest and open minded man, who is not afraid of searching for the absolute RIGHTEOUS TRUTH. Personally I think it is never a sin to search for the TRUTH, even if you have to investigate out of your comfort zone make a few errors in finding it. The important thing is having the discernment and guidance, from God, who knows all and sees all, externally and internally, on your journey. For the orthodox Jews I would advise them, as Dr Sischy suggests, to ask God for that guidance and discernment and take a journey out of your comfort zone. Our God is an AWESOME God and as Jesus says, "Knock and the door will be opened.. Seek and you will find!" When you find, it will give you more joy than you could ever imagine, even in the face of this fallen and deceptive world!

I love this testimony so much. I’m a 54 yr. old woman raised as a Gentile believer in Jesus (Yeshua). God marked my life at the age of 5 yrs. through the words of my mother. She told me if I wanted to know what God was doing in the earth, to pay attention to the Jewish People and the State of Israel.Over the years God has been faithful to mature me in his purposes for the Jewish people, the land and their role to bless the nations, as they come to faith in him as their Messiah. However there has been an astonishing acceleration since that horrific day on Oct. 7, 2023. I’m amazed by the uncreated God carrying out his divine story line through the untold pain and suffering of the Jewish people and his plan for the nations. I’m blessed to be a part of this divine story. What a joy to see the natural branches get grafted into their own vine.

I am a Copt an Egyptian Christian, I never in my life met a Jew ( I live in a Muslim country and somewhere before 1967 Egypt lost all her Jewish population by scared emigration) I also never met a Jewish Christian ( as all the apostles of Jesus) so I spent my life since beginning a meaningful relationship with Jesus seeing myself in different characters whom Jesus had met during His 3and a half years of ministry on earth. I am now 60 years old and those years one reads and re-reads the Bible and of course every time you the Holy Spirit helps you see more and more. So it is only sever weeks ago that my eyes suddenly opened and I realized that the anecdote my proud ego had secretly frowned upon and secretly searched inside several commentaries for explanations and translations concerning it, was the anecdote that actually depicted Jesus’ encounter with me. I suddenly realized that the Kanaanite woman begging for the crumbs falling underneath the houses’ little masters table would have been me, IF ONLY I had been a humble as she was. Only I was a proud egotistical fool who has dared to commit the sin of judging the Judge of the whole universe. That was demeaning ….. for an instant !!! Because my Savior has redeemed me even from this very queer and unspoken of sin. Glory be to Him Amen. And you know something, just like you could never have imagined a Jew to forgive a German until you met as Christians United by the love of Jesus. I have seen the impossible of Muslim Palestinians reconciliation with Jews through the love of the One and Only Giver of Peace.

@@badluck134 Maybe another analogy will help. This man is on trial, and the judge finds him guilty, and orders he pay a huge fine, which he cannot afford, as he has no money. Then the judge steps down from the bench, and pays the man's fine in full, himself. Hope this helps you understand what our heavenly Father has done, by giving His own Son to suffer the punishment we deserve for our sins, so that we can come to the Father as cleansed and forgiven children. Blessings.

I am a 90 year old Seventh-day Adventist Christian who as you may know worships on the fourth Commandment Sabbath, Saturday the seventh day of the week, and not on the first day. Recently, I was impressed to pray for the Jewish people hoping that they would read the New Testament in hopes of meeting the Messiah, Jesus. When I found you on TH-cam I was thrilled. I am now subscribed to your program and enjoying the stories of Jews for Jesus. I was happy to find that I have one percent European Jew in my genealogy test.
To think that I am in the Abraham, Issack, and Jacobs family line really thrilled me. May God bless your goals in uniting Jesus, who was born a Jew, with the Jewish families of today. Shalom.

Powerful testimonies, I am watching your channel with thirst . I was raised Catholic strayed away from my faith searched and the more I searched the more I realized I left home I left Jesus ,but God had a plan and put some people in my life to point my way back . During my journey I loved so much how Jesus elevates women to an equal level specially knowing how patriarchal those times were and in some Arab States still is . In Catholicism we have the Eucharist which is the Body of Christ after is consecrated by a priest and we get to eat his body and drink his blood as he said it boldly to the crowd not once not twice but I believe four or more times .Almost all walked away after hearing such outlandish statement but now we know he meant what he said and said what he meant .
Let us pray for a family of God reunion and healing on all levels . Shalom 🙏🏼❤️🛐

My husband’s parents were Jewish and fled Europe separately, ending up in Ecuador. My husband was born in Texas 4 months after his family moved to the US.
He became a believer in Jesus the Messiah while a student at the Juilliard School. Right from the start he had opportunities to give concerts and before the last piece he give his testimony. He explains why music is not the most important thing to him, but that Jesus is.
25 years ago we started traveling around the world giving concerts and testifying to Jesus. His first concert in Germany was in a church in Jena. After the concert an elderly man can up to my husband and in tears begged for his forgiveness as he had been a Nazi soldier. He was captured by the US and sent to a POW camp in the US where he was given a Bible. He read it, became a Christian, and loved and prayed for the Jewish people. He’s probably with the Lord now. The middle wall of partition has been smashed by the blood of Jesus and He is our peace.
    Written by his wife.
