ZAANSE SCHANS, Windmill Village | 4K Netherlands Walking Tour2022 | Virtual Travel with City Sounds

Zaanse Schans is a neighborhood in the Dutch town of Zaandam, near Amsterdam. Historic windmills and distinctive green wooden houses were relocated here to recreate the look of an 18th/19th-century village. The Zaans Museum has regional costumes, model windmills and interactive exhibits on chocolate making. Artisan workshops demonstrate rare handicrafts such as wooden clog carving, barrel making and pewter casting.

Hoewel deze punten niet in allen deele voldoende in het oog konden gehounden worden- wel bij de overplanting, doch niet bij de uitzaaiing- zoo gar toch op een gedeelte der sawah’s het resultaat ten duidelijkste aan, dat men voor wat meer moeite en zorg terstond door meer opbrengst beloond kon worden. Het bedoelde sawah gedeelte gaf een opbrengst, overeenkomende met ruim 44 pikol droog per bouw. Dit is voor Ponorogo een zeermooie opbrengst, zooals ten duidelijkste in het oog sprong door eene vergelijking met de aan drie zijden het veld onmiddellijk omringende sawah’s der bevolking, die oogsten gaven van 13, 18 en 22 pikol per bouw. Op het stuk in quaestie van het demonstratieveld werd dus, op waarlijk niet moeilijk na te volgen manier, terstond minstens het dubbele van den gewonen oogst verk regen.
