I have picked up many tips and tricks from you! I have a few cuttings going for my 1st ever go at it. Not sure of their exact start date but I had not been covering them with any bag or dome. Some look great and a few are wilting and struggling so I will be adding that today ...Thank you! I seriously could listen to you talk for hours!!!

Are you using 3 or 4" pots, or what is the measurement, and I can convert it. Thanks... great comparison of the ages!

Hi Jessica, thanks for you comment and query. These are 7cm pots so 15 fit in a standard seed tray size. They are slightly smaller than 3inches. Good luck with your growing this year.

Hi there. I have to say your videos are great, very clear and concise!. I started taking dahlia cuttings last year following your videos with your bag technique, and have had nearly 100% success both last year and the same this year.
Though if I may ask a question regarding this video and the pot bound plant, would this be the start of a pot tuber plant? Or would you repot on again to form a pot tuber. Thanks again

Hi Ross thanks for your question. I can't pretend to be an expert on this as I've not been involved in the technique. But my understanding of it is that the pot would be a little larger. Then crucially, plant the dahlia, pot and all in the ground. This allows the plant to form enough water absorbing roots below the pot. The plant is fed using a foliar feed, and dug up at the normal time in autumn. I hope this is correct!
Perhaps you, or someone else knows more details about the technique?

Thank you for the videos. I have a question. Do we have to pinch out the main shoot off the dahlia clumps? (like the single dahlias)
Video 'Dahlias - jobs to do NOW before planting out'
    Thank you.

Hi Roland, thanks for your question. I hope this answers it for you - pinch out every shoot, whether it's a single shoot from a single tuber (or cutting), or multiple shoots from a tuber clump. If you do not pinch out you are likely to end up with a very tall shoot bearing a single flower.
      Hope that helps.
