It was really cool to see you guys come to my town and I have to say I can't understand why you don't have millions of subs because you have some of the best camera and drone shots I've seen in a long time. i live in Stevensville michigan and we live right next to st joseph michigan and it only takes us about 5 minutes to get there, the last time i went to the dunes was in 4th grade on a field trip, and im in 7th grade now. oh and BTW i subbed.
Traverse City area further north is the most beautiful place on earth. Moomers ice cream is so good that it has ruined all other ice cream for me. In TC they also converted an old mental hospital-huge- into shops restaurants etc. The dunes up there are even prettier. You can also do brewery tastings as you tube or kayak down the rivers there.
The Endless Adventure No worry. After watching your video. I realize you where down by new Buffalo. If you go 3-4 hours north. You will see sleeping Bear dunes national lakeshore. And sorry I stand corrected. It is pyramid point. And it's really beautiful. Thanks for visiting Michigan.
So, I just discovered your channel via a reddit post. I watched the one about whats in your bank acct. and I was stunned lol. You said something about doing free lance work, what kind of freelance work do you do exactly that allows you to pay for your travels? I'm interested in doing something like you guys are doing, I'll be solo however. So, any tips would be helpful. Sorry, I'm sure you've probably answered this question may times over.
No worries at all, happy to help! I (Eric) mostly do freelance writing, dev and design. I'm kind of a jack of all trades and have been in the industry for over a decade, so I usually draw on my previous contacts for ongoing work. I also mentor UI design students online which pays a little 👍 IMO it's all about budget though. You have to find what works for you! Some people travel on $25-$50 a day! Check out Nomadic Matt (google him) for some awesome guides on traveling for less.
Of course it's cold in Michigan in January! Please come back in the spring or summer, and the fall color is spectacular!

I grew up an hour from there. I used to take my boat there in the summer on the lake. The Great Lakes and dunes are so underrated!

That’s one of the snowboarding spots around that area but dangerous. I dislocated my hip and knee going down the hill y’all ran down.

I've been to those dunes in the summer. Once you are on top and start running down them ...you have a sense you are flying.
We can imagine! We'll have to go back when it's warm enough to explore and run around barefoot :)
