      No problem, they take about 10 - 12mins to strip each panel and on your own you could strip about 100 in 2 days if having a red hot got so thats a pay of around $800 - $850 for 2 days work and a pay rate of around $42ph.

      Yeah i think i might start advertising a free scrap solar panel collection service coz looking at the big picture you could scrap 100 of them in 2 days on your own which would equal a pay of around $800 - $850 which is pretty good im view.......Got me excited coz iv been saying no to these things for ages coz didn't know what was involved till i had a go.

    They come apart pretty easy... I don't know where the silver is, but all the companies that sell silver claim its in there :-) Nice job!

    • @danthescrapper815
      @danthescrapper815  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah they take no time at all if not filming, maybe 10 - 12mins a panel. In an hour it would be fair to say you could get 5 done per hour earning you about $42 an hour........Cheers for the silver info tho i think ill leave that or else ill have tiny glass fragments everywhere.

    Not bad, 2.5 kg @ $2.00+ / kg × 10 . At least $50 in Al. Plus maybe a half kilo of brass. Pretty good for a freebie. 👍
    Dinner sounds yummy. Shame about the photo cell part. Wonder if there is something to salvage but looks like a massive task to attempt if so. Very cool video Dan.

    • @danthescrapper815

      For the ally i was actually getting anything from $2.80kg - $3.00kg without an ABN and $3.00kg - $3.30kg with it so even better......If having a real go you could probably scrap 100 in 2 days on your own and get 5 done in an hour so your looking at $800 - $850 for 2 days work.......Iv got 30 more panels coming this week......There is a place that recycles the photo cell in Rocklea but there is a catch....To recycle a complete panel you pay them, yes thats correct your paying them $11.00 a panel to do it, if a working panel they might recycle it for free, if you just bring the photo cell only then its dearer than $11.00 coz you have removed the most value so from a scrap view there is no real incentive, so its photo cell in the bin unfortunately.

    • @bradlang9494
      @bradlang9494 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@danthescrapper815 that is a shame. Funny, I've just been searching for dry cell battery recycling and doesn't look like anyone will pay to collect them. Woolworths, Bunnings and Officeworks offer a place to drop them off, but do they get paid for the batteries collected?
      No wonder they get chucked in the bin if there is only an environmental moral obligation. Perhaps even pollute more driving to the places to dispose of them.
      I get heaps of batteries from equipment and they contain metals, Nickel, Cadmium, Zinc, lithium to name a few. Surely someone can make money by purchasing at a lower cost than what they could sell for. Anyway, such is life.

      @@bradlang9494 Battery World also have bins to collect them but no idea as to weather the places mentioned make money from disposing of them or not, but your right it is a shame.
