I remember when my stores had parts. The "overpriced" bit is absolutely laughable in late 2020.

Heh there was a mob last month at my best buy for a new shipment of NZXT cases and kraken coolers. Luckily I snatched up a corsair case the same day in the next town over

I work for Geek Squad at a Best Buy. It's funny going back to watch this and seeing you say we need more cases over and over. And late last year and early this year at my location I've noticed at least 3 or 4 different case options. I can say confidently that this video is a perfect representation of builds from Best Buy. The selection is slim in store, the online attempts to make up for it, but takes away from getting it all done in one location. Thanks for the awesome content!

I believe Lyle would try getting a 2080 Ti from another source, since he claimed one of his Chinese uncles gets better deals (I believe he said that in the "How to NOT build a PC" video). He would probably buy the kid a nice M.2 drive (judging from how he describes the one he used in the same video ;) ) and draw performance analogies to his private parts.
That shelf when he met that kid, Good times when gpus were in stock.

With the savings maybe he'll be able to build something even more powerful or get some nicer peripheral to go with it. Saving enough money 2 equal they cost of graphics card definitely opens up a good about a budget for a really nice screen that you might not have been able to get on a budget. I would have loved to I've been that lucky when I was a kid LOL

If I was him, I would have though in that second that he was gonna pay the difference. I mean, I don't think he even expected getting it for free. The way the conversation was going it gave me that impression. So I think he went from very happy to even more happy in a few seconds haha.
