I remember playing against Gotchurun in duel on ps4 last year (back when I used to still play). I'm pretty good at smite, but I haven't ever beat him. I've never been read with auto attacks that well before. Pretty chill guy tho

Love the series, I do however agree that adding the other player to the discord takes away from the commentary. It also removes the audience from the competitiveness of watching it from just your perspective.
I think it had a nice balance, nothing much beyond talking matchups. He still laid out his perspective for the youtube audience and they were silent during fights. I can see your gripe but I don't feel like it was there.
I don't think it took anything away from the commentary. Whats Sam going to say? "I'm going to get my mana then recall." Instead we actually have someone talking about the match up and getting both of their viewpoints (different viewpoints can help you learn faster aswell) at the same time. We already understand it's competitive because Sam already said this guy is proclaimed as the best Console dueler in the world. Do you need official smite stream casting to get into the mood? Casters honestly suck so I don't see how this is not better.

I can only speak for myself when I mention that I actually enjoy Sam dictating all his movements, regardless of how simple they are, and I enjoy the tension that the moments of silence create when Sam is fighting. I personally am not a fan of the duo commentary because it comes off as a lot of praising or trash talking between the players. Neither of which are very entertaining to me.
Sam you should get both console players to play each other and commentate the match. You could also get another masters PC player and do a 2v2 with each team having one console and one PC player.

I'm GM too on ps4 and I recognize gotchurum, I'm not the best but I want to do a duel VS u Sam, the thing is, gotchurum play on NA, and the rest of the duelers play in EU, in NA in duel its more easy to find gold or platinum players...

On console its possible to adjust the sensitivity, and the turn speed of the analog, avoiding mudusa ults on console isn't actually that hard, it's much simpler on pc tho ofc. ANYWAYS, this was really awesome to see, been getting recommended to see your videos pretty often by my friend, and honestly i do like your content alot, you should def try to get those games with that top xbox player the best out of 3, akashi or something? I'm watching this now and he just went against me twice with his GM boarder hou yi. Wasnt insane. No crazy bounces but I played late game mages twice so he just pushed my tower down and took bull.
Aiming is hard on console only because you have a choice; either have low sensitivity so you can aim well or have high sensitivity so you can turn around quickly. There isn't really middle ground imo, especially on smite, I feel like if the sensitivity is in the middle I cant aim or turn around quickly
As a console player I gotta say I don't feel represented for some guy that is gm just because he plays all day you hi and Medusa. I main hunters as well but I have at least 400 hours in all other roles and I try to go for variety and actually trying to not to play gods that I already have with level 10 except in hunter role

I would say it's the opposite, for me anyway. Skillshot abilities like basically ullrs entire kit is hard with a controller and autos are easier. Some melee gods are hard for me with a controller too, like Ama. On pc it's no issue. Also I play Savage when I'm on console so the bumpers and triggers are your abilities which makes it wayyyy easier than the default settings
It takes forever to type on console. Yup. Imagine typing with a stick with a bunch of letters on your screen. And having to push a button each time you want a character entered.
Thing is on pc you can 180 right when it goes off then 180 back. Where as on console even if you dodge it you still eat like 1-3 free autos while 180ing back.
Why don't you ever get a starter item i know you get more power but don't you lose out more by not having there passives? Just wondering trying to get better at duel

I can tell you 500% they do not use a mouse and keyboard. If they do they're absolutely nuts. I've always played PC since I was younger and I recently bought a PS4 just to play with some friends. I used it with a M/K (chronus max) and it was just terrible and impossible to aim. It's not a fluid feeling like in PC, you can tell you are using a mouse that is controlling a joystick. Very unpredictable movements and you're limited by the sensitivity set ib the game. If he really is using a m/k it's a huge waste of his time and should just get a PC. It's a whole different game on PC

The default sensitivity is too low to look away if you are looking straight toward her.
This is why you play around with the sensitivity to get to one that’s just right for you.
