    If those papers are old deeds and the land hasn't been claimed by family members you might be able to lay claim to the land with those papers.

    • @WheelieShinyGold
      @WheelieShinyGold  2 ปีที่แล้ว +51

      It's public land & the claim was closed so it was open for claim. Interesting enough, the claim wasn't registered at the time of data entry so it was surprising to find it there. I appreciate your advice and input, thank you

    Old location notices can provide valuable info. For instance, last winter while prospecting Arizona, I found an old notice in an area that I was unsure if there was placer gold in the area. I had found many nuggets on the other side of the mountain I was near and knew the same material came down the side I was now on. I had checked it before and found nothing. The notice was in a jar and exposed to the sun. When I got it out it literally fell apart in my hands. I was however able to glean a few tidbits. A name, that they were from Las Vegas, the claim was staked in 1946, and most importantly, it was staked as a placer. I thought hmm, someone had a story. Why else would they drive from Vegas and stake a placer in an off track place that was never mined for placer? BTW, the patch over the hill was my best ever and produced some biguns! 5oz being the biggest. Never mined, never detected, went there on an old treasure story.

      @@WheelieShinyGold your welcome. I'm hoping to come to AZ again this winter. I've chased that place looking for the rest of the story for months! Last winter I spent 2 1/2 months and didn't find a piece! Grrr. Said I'm done with that place! But...man, I got so much invested now and have gathered some really good data, including nuggets, that I don't know if I can let it go now. I know it's there somewhere, just got to get across that first one on the big patch.

    Like I mentioned…I believe I found a stash in 200+\- year old plot near Prescott valley. It’s near an old mining claim untouched for years. I can’t get to it with my day job, but willing to show you where. Most is raw ore dug out by my own hands. I believe it to be a minor’s stash that he was keeping to himself. I could be wrong but it could be worth it.

    I grew up in apache junction Arizona we lived at the foot of the mtn on the last road . I use to spend the weekend in the early 70s at the north end of the mtn. That faces west..there's a sleeper cave there and it sets just above the blue bird mining company store and restaurant. I grew up there. I never prospected the area but spent a lot of time as a teenager climbing all around that mtn..great video. I miss Arizona. I live in Virginia now..keep prospecting that area its rich with gold and artifacts.

      @Wheelie Shiny Gold I agree. My mother did the artist rendering for the NBC Sunday night movie back in the mid 70s of the lost Dutchmans gold. She did the oil paintings and the pastel drawings. I've always wanted to mine there. That cave is big enough for 4 people and a camp fire. You can see it from the apache trail highway before the bluebird mining company restaurant. It's at the face of the mtn, not far up. Use binoculars to locate it from your start position. Check for scorpions and snakes. There are a black rattle snake common to that area. Plenty of area to put your gear in front of the cave. The cave only goes back about 12 feet and is about 8 to 10 feet wide. We spent many a night there with a campfire in front of the cave I slept on this huge bolder in front Of that cave. Many times. The stars at night are brilliant. And u can see all the lights of apache junction and south to queen creek and look out as west as the weather allows. Awesome place. And plenty more room to hike upwards to Crack some big rocks. Let me know if you go to this area. The superstition park is at the very end of that mtn. To the north. There are signs telling you where to park there. Watch out for the jumping cactus. 🥵, it got me once all down my left side and into my shoes. Good luck . My mother would be interested to know about your journey through there and how it all goes. Good luck dude. I did a lot of dirt bike riding through there back in those days on my Yamaha 275, and my bulltaco 400. It was a blast.

      @WheelieShinyGold  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      First of all, I appreciate that offer and same goes to you if you make it here, thank you. The drift possibly goes 30-50ft but I didn't go in because no snake guards on and a rattle snake almost fell on my headthe when I crouched in front of the portal to check it out. The outcroppings surrounding are major indicators for more gold and look incredible. I'm very surprised they didn't blow out more. The gold I found was in their mine dump waste, so more gold is definitely there. The round can was closure papers. Since it didn't show up on records, I'm going to assume the records and information were never transferred because it was closed before data entry.

    Good thing you 'randomly' picked the EXACT spot, in the MIDDLE of NOWHERE and just happened to find a CAN that you literally just said would be great to find... on your FIRST day... COME ON man.. why do so many believe this rubbish?! Was I the only one to see that the paper hadn't aged? Even the creases didn't stay creased!
    You know where the gold is? In subscriptions and views! That's what he's searching for... and not doing too good on that either!
