Well that explains why my Sweet Box looks like it does. Scorched leaves and light green color. It's still in the nursery container from last spring. It spent all summer with my other potted plants in mostly sun and had a deep saucer under it. I watered everything together at the same time every morning. I did notice it's saucer held water most of the time while the other plants often needed a second watering in the evening. Time to get it in the ground. Thanks to your video, I know right where to plant it. Thanks Jim! Glad I found your channel.

Jim, we're in Houston Texas, my son just bought a home and is looking for shade tolerant plants for his large front north facing landscape bed adjacent to the home structure (Bed is empty, No drip or sprinklers yet). The bed is about 30' long by 15' and is in direct sun about 30% and shade to strong indirect light about 70% of the day in a wind protected city neighborhood environment. Himalayan Sweet Box will fit the bill I believe. What other plants would you suggest? He would like a tiered layered effect if possible. Thanks for the videos Jim... very well made and informative....

Is there an *evergreen* , *3 ft high* , *shade loving* foundation plant that smells good? (I'm not picky, eh? 😍)

Hello, I want to grow this plant in a pot in a semi-shaded and semi-airy environment on my glass balcony. Generally, one or two windows are open. Can I grow it in this environment? Its north face and receives morning sun for 1 or 2 hours in summer.
