God bro, I am really disappointed from what I’m seeing. I just like, really think that this manga could’ve gone on for a good 100 more chapters because of everything that was left unanswered. I have been saying peak Jujutsu Kaisen was the Shibuya arc. Shinjuku Showdown had ONE good phase which was Gojo vs Meguna.I think the reason for the downfall is specifically Sukuna. Do not get me wrong, Sukuna is an okay villain but the moment Gege tried making him the main villain it all fell apart and essentially became boring. Everything after Gojo vs Sukuna felt forced on us just so Gege could glaze Sukuna as much as possible and it was very obvious to us fans. If Gege would have given that spot to Kenjaku, I believe we would have had an amazing finale. Kenjaku just fit that role SOOO much better. Every plot point involves him. So much could have been answered. Shibuya arc just had everything and the pace was lovely and even the end was great. None of the power ups felt forced. None of the villains got blatant plot armor. The themes as you said were beautiful and well put. Sukuna was better off as an unknown entity and was better when he had a time limit. Shinjuku Showdown just ruined Sukuna for me. Sukuna did not fit the role he was given. How can you make Sukuna the main villain when the actual main villain has been manipulating Sukuna the entire manga...? It makes no sense. ALL of this was Kenjaku's plan and it seemed like Gege tried to give Sukuna the actual accomplishment even though he did NOTHING. His only REAL role was getting Gojo out the story because Gojo was too Strong. That's it. And even that barely happened even when Gege gave him everything to get the job done.. Idk how people can say Sukuna is a top tier villain lol... Dude is nothing without Kenjaku setting things up for him.
That’s what I’ve been saying man. Kenjaku should’ve been the main villain. Have Gojo and Sukuna take each other out. The fight ends similar except after Sukuna tells Gojo he will never forget him, he turns around to walk away but he hears something behind him. He turns around and right when he does, Gojo blows off his head with Reversal Red. The fight ends in a draw. That leaves our main cast to face off against Kenjaku. Have Kenjaku start the merger as a last resort. The finale is our main cast vs the Merger. I honestly wouldn’t kill off most of the bad guys earlier in the story. I would save some of them for the end fight. Good guy’s team vs bad guy’s team before the Merger is activated. Honestly, that’s how I would’ve done the ending. Sure it’s probably ass lol.
Last 3 chapters felt like watching those "Filler" episodes of an anime....... Only it's Not.... 😢😅😢.... Sukuna remained the ONLY ONE who showed any form of acknowledgement and respect for Gojo's death.... 😂😅 Glad we learned a lot about "Simple Domain"........ But why? 😅😂
Not only is it filler, it is shitty written filler. There are quite a number of well-written filler episodes/arcs in the past. On top of that, this "filler" chapter SHOULD NOT be in the LAST few chapters of a narrative.

By the way... Kagurabachi is a good one to follow.
I think after gojo died it all went downhill. His death was from an asspull of a binding vow which if it was used by other characters the story would be really short. If binding vows are THAT powerful that a move that even miguel or kusakabe could dodge (if i remember correctly) becomes a sure hit then why arent they used more like that?. Character assassinations like higuruma and hakari. Both amazing characters in the culling games hyped up to be stronger than gojo (higuruma) and hyped up from the start of the WHOLE show (hakari) just to die (in the disney way ) or get less screen time than the bystanders in shibuya 💀. Angel was useless, Miguel was useless, yuta was useless, maki was useless. Everything was SO rushed it made me just lose interest. I was reading the manga like there was no tomorrow until i got to the kusukabe chapter. Thats when i knew already that it was done.
If we gonna talk about higuruma and Hakari we should talk about my goat kashimo too, i will never forgive gege for that, i liked his final talk with sukuna, but man, after all that hype, not only that but his technique is amazing even if people don't believe it, and the fact that he used it in such a poorly way, damn you gege
JJK was a generation-defining manga. The cultural impact it had at its peak was insane. It had so much potential which just went to waste. Maybe Gege had his issues, and maybe some TH-camrs high on copium can shoe-horn some deep meaning to the mess of this ending, but I can’t stand by this ending. Even if JJK gets a second iteration of some sort (like a CSM-esque part 2) I cannot and will not read it because I don’t respect a mangaka who doesn’t respect his own story. Yeah he can choose to write what he wants, and I can choose to not read any of his work anymore.

I'm very much confused with the ending. Cursed energy is still there. Someone has to replace Gojo, because there will be new special grade curses to replace the ones that were defeated, in addition shouldn't curses grow stronger with Yuuji, Yuuta, and Potential Man getting even stronger in power? If everyone is getting stronger and trying to reach Gojo's level, shouldn't the curses becoming stronger as well?
I think Gege just saw his fandom and decided to do a little trolling at the end. "Oh so you want your characters back? Here you go, Nobara, Higuruma", Gojo not having even a mention could be a middle finger to Gojo copers who for the last year have been talking of how he will return next chapter and even the last page is him showing us a finger as a goodbye. He even implemented fan theories in the chapters like with Sukuna killing plan so those last chapters could be him making fun of JJK community while trashing the ending itself. I love JJK but those couple last chapters weren't the best to say lightly
Higaruma in particular is one of the most wtf reveals ever. He was one of the only properly earned deaths, he felt like his arc had ended there. And nah he's just fine now like what??

I love jjk and it has had a lot of influence on my figure collecting and cosplay hobbies, but.... this ending...idk. it's really sad that it was rushed but not just by gege but by his higher ups. Seems like what gojo said this chapter was gege himself hijacking (like yuta) gojo's character and telling everyone to let him go, failing to understand that these shonen animes/mangas are made by their uniquely awesome and distinct characters. We don't, as an audience, simply just move on from a generational character like gojo. Even in the context of the verse and roster of characters, no one simply forgets gojo. Sure, they should move on in the sense that they evolve and no longe crutch on him, but this isn't that; this is outright disrespectful to him in that no one cares about what he did, and how he effectively changed the system. It's okay to remember and recognize someone's worth and life after they have gone. It seems Gege has forgotten this or just ignored it because it's gojo. As a result, it seems like he was just "the strongest" to them, not their mentor and friend. Just a means to an end. We could have had a funeral scene that harkens back to that chapter where each character takes turns telling each other who gojo was to them; each of them saying he is the strongest the first time around. Instead, this time, they each would say something that made gojo gojo or because he is gojo (thats a lot of gojo, sorry). This would, in a way, resolve and touch on Gojo's entire character arc, as well as going North or South. By his students saying what he was to them rather than simply being the strongest, Gojo goes North, becoming himself and not some tool/weapon for jujutsu society. By doing this, Gojo comes back in the sense that his identity and role in Jujutsu society and to his students becomes definite and concrete. But instead we got simple domain lore and culling games characters + megumi's sister's (forgot her name) grave whom we knew for, what, 2 chapters? Damn. This ending felt rushed, man.
Gojo was fanfiction level bad. He was too strong and had to die to have any plot going forward. People like Gojo because people like bad writing. Gojo was intentionally written poorly to make his death mean something.

Bad writing is what has happened after chap 236, especially the final 5 or so. Read Kishimoto's work... Itachi and Minato are some of the most popular characters in all of Naruto. There's no "coping" in that show, Kishimoto did a great job in introducing and dispatching characters. I can't say the same for Gege.
Well said... It doesn't matter if you want Gojo back or not... Gege treated him like less than a flash in the pan character, even though Gojo made his whole manga... And he did it unnecessarily. You can't argue against the fact that a character that was so important deserved at least a funeral and a proper goodbye, not an offscreen death and people acting like he never existed. And you can't deny that Gege used Gojo in terms of flashbacks and teasing a comeback to keep readers interested. As it stands, when it all gets animated, I might just watch the interesting parts, which is mostly some key fights and I'm not sure I'm gonna trust his next work. As he might introduce things to keep readers interested but never elaborate on them, as he did for most of JJK. I still think he's a talented writer, I'm just not sure I wanna waste more years into a story that will end like this again.
If I had a nickel for every time I've followed a series, loved the characters, enjoyed everything that came out of the series and have that series end on a shitty, Deus ex machina, open-book ending that made the efforts of the main cast mostly obsolete in a stupid attempt of "symbolism" of how the world will always be shit no matter what, I would have two nickels. Which is not much but it's weird it happened twice (AOT, JJK)
Im ngl, I was defending the previous 4 chapters minus the Hakari thing. But this one just felt like it went nowhere. They somehow in ONE chapter created an actual real deal plothole with the Geto thing not being explained, ZERO way to explain that without more story and I don't like how the only way this could've been handled was to hype up some sort of spin off or continuation but then they just meet a random curse user and that's it. Heavily disappointed.
So silly that Yuta can come back so many times from being swapped from a body about 3 times already and yet there's NO possible way of Gojo coming back? Even tho it was shown that the soul can sometimes react and control their bodies in some form as shown with Geto choking Kenjaku with his own body? I dont know, I'm just a Gojo copying fan but I just felt like there's a lot more that could have been done and with the world of JJK, a lot of possibilities.

Im a longtime sukuna fan, I always made fun of Gojo glazers for thinking hes coming back. But this last chapter was so ASS and UNEVENTFUL I started hoping Gojo would come back mid chapter so the ending would atleast be satisfying to SOME PORTION of the fanbase. I'll never forgive Gege for all these subtle "hints" throughout the series which I personally thought would be solved by the end of the series just for the end to be this hot garbage.

The ending is horrible. Too many open things. Not a single funeral or something. No deep talk or a reflexion. Open ending with the fk finger. Unpopular opinion: gege needs to retcon and redo all the chapters up to the gojo and Sukuna fight. Allow transformed Sukuna to kill gojo clearly. Give kashimo a WAY better power showcase before Sukuna offs him. Have kenjaku complete the merger and betray Sukuna. Have kenjaku tell Yuji the whole truth. Have Sukuna and the gang Fight kill merger thing and kenjaku. Have gang kill Sukuna.

I don't think the ending is terrible. I don't think it's amazing, I don't think it's good. For me it's just meh. It's mid. It could have been way better if we got more chapters. It's strange, usuelly you can mess up your last arc and have an epilogue that is at least satisfying and that conclude the manga in a good way. But it's not the case here. The Shinjuku Showdown and the Sukuna gauntlet was great for me. However the epilogue was handled quite poorly. Nevertheless, jjk stay as one of my favorite manga all time and despite this ending I find lacking it's still a great read.

If binding vows are THAT powerful that a move that even miguel or kusakabe could dodge (if i remember correctly) becomes a sure hit then why arent they used more like that?. Character assassinations like higuruma and hakari. Both amazing characters in the culling games hyped up to be stronger than gojo (higuruma) and hyped up from the start of the WHOLE show (hakari) just to die (in the disney way ) or get less screen time than the bystanders in shibuya 💀. Angel was useless, Miguel was useless, yuta was useless, maki was useless. Everything was SO rushed it made me just lose interest. I was reading the manga like there was no tomorrow until i got to the kusukabe chapter. Thats when i knew already that it was done.
If we gonna talk about higuruma and Hakari we should talk about my goat kashimo too, i will never forgive gege for that, i liked his final talk with sukuna, but man, after all that hype, not only that but his technique is amazing even if people don't believe it, and the fact that he used it in such a poorly way, damn you gege

JJK was a generation-defining manga. The cultural impact it had at its peak was insane. It had so much potential which just went to waste. Maybe Gege had his issues, and maybe some TH-camrs high on copium can shoe-horn some deep meaning to the mess of this ending, but I can’t stand by this ending. Even if JJK gets a second iteration of some sort (like a CSM-esque part 2) I cannot and will not read it because I don’t respect a mangaka who doesn’t respect his own story. Yeah he can choose to write what he wants, and I can choose to not read any of his work anymore.
It's clear as day that Gege fumbled the bag for the same reasons D&D fumbled last season of the Game of Thrones.

I think Gege just saw his fandom and decided to do a little trolling at the end. "Oh so you want your characters back? Here you go, Nobara, Higuruma", Gojo not having even a mention could be a middle finger to Gojo copers who for the last year have been talking of how he will return next chapter and even the last page is him showing us a finger as a goodbye. He even implemented fan theories in the chapters like with Sukuna killing plan so those last chapters could be him making fun of JJK community while trashing the ending itself. I love JJK but those couple last chapters weren't the best to say lightly
Higaruma in particular is one of the most wtf reveals ever. He was one of the only properly earned deaths, he felt like his arc had ended there. And nah he's just fine now like what??

Seems like what gojo said this chapter was gege himself hijacking (like yuta) gojo's character and telling everyone to let him go, failing to understand that these shonen animes/mangas are made by their uniquely awesome and distinct characters.
We don't, as an audience, simply just move on from a generational character like gojo. Even in the context of the verse and roster of characters, no one simply forgets gojo. Sure, they should move on in the sense that they evolve and no longe crutch on him, but this isn't that; this is outright disrespectful to him in that no one cares about what he did, and how he effectively changed the system. It's okay to remember and recognize someone's worth and life after they have gone. It seems Gege has forgotten this or just ignored it because it's gojo. As a result, it seems like he was just "the strongest" to them, not their mentor and friend. Just a means to an end.
We could have had a funeral scene that harkens back to that chapter where each character takes turns telling each other who gojo was to them; each of them saying he is the strongest the first time around. Instead, this time, they each would say something that made gojo gojo or because he is gojo (thats a lot of gojo, sorry). This would, in a way, resolve and touch on Gojo's entire character arc, as well as going North or South. By his students saying what he was to them rather than simply being the strongest, Gojo goes North, becoming himself and not some tool/weapon for jujutsu society. By doing this, Gojo comes back in the sense that his identity and role in Jujutsu society and to his students becomes definite and concrete. But instead we got simple domain lore and culling games characters + megumi's sister's (forgot her name) grave whom we knew for, what, 2 chapters? Damn. This ending felt rushed, man.
Gojo was fanfiction level bad. He was too strong and had to die to have any plot going forward. People like Gojo because people like bad writing. Gojo was intentionally written poorly to make his death mean something.

Well said... It doesn't matter if you want Gojo back or not... Gege treated him like less than a flash in the pan character, even though Gojo made his whole manga... And he did it unnecessarily.
You can't argue against the fact that a character that was so important deserved at least a funeral and a proper goodbye, not an offscreen death and people acting like he never existed.
And you can't deny that Gege used Gojo in terms of flashbacks and teasing a comeback to keep readers interested.
As it stands, when it all gets animated, I might just watch the interesting parts, which is mostly some key fights and I'm not sure I'm gonna trust his next work.

If I had a nickel for every time I've followed a series, loved the characters, enjoyed everything that came out of the series and have that series end on a shitty, Deus ex machina, open-book ending that made the efforts of the main cast mostly obsolete in a stupid attempt of "symbolism" of how the world will always be shit no matter what, I would have two nickels. Which is not much but it's weird it happened twice (AOT, JJK)
Im ngl, I was defending the previous 4 chapters minus the Hakari thing. But this one just felt like it went nowhere. They somehow in ONE chapter created an actual real deal plothole with the Geto thing not being explained, ZERO way to explain that without more story and I don't like how the only way this could've been handled was to hype up some sort of spin off or continuation but then they just meet a random curse user and that's it. Heavily disappointed.

But this last chapter was so ASS and UNEVENTFUL I started hoping Gojo would come back mid chapter so the ending would atleast be satisfying to SOME PORTION of the fanbase. I'll never forgive Gege for all these subtle "hints" throughout the series which I personally thought would be solved by the end of the series just for the end to be this hot garbage.

I don't think the ending is terrible. I don't think it's amazing, I don't think it's good. For me it's just meh. It's mid. It could have been way better if we got more chapters.
It's strange, usuelly you can mess up your last arc and have an epilogue that is at least satisfying and that conclude the manga in a good way. But it's not the case here. The Shinjuku Showdown and the Sukuna gauntlet was great for me. However the epilogue was handled quite poorly.
Nevertheless, jjk stay as one of my favorite manga all time and despite this ending I find lacking it's still a great read.
