I’m 22 and I’m trying to tryout for the g league. I feel like I still have a chance since I’m not too old even though I know a lot of coaches want the youngest players possible no matter if they have skills or not. They basically look for potential.
Yes, they like to say that your age doesn't matter but you know they take that into consideration. 22 us plenty young for what they will be looking for though!
I'm 6'3 and 17 years old. I used to play a lot of basketball as a kid but quite at 13 for getting bullied by taller kids telling me that I'm not good enough. Recently I started playing for fun and slowly I am getting my skills back and I'm beating the players in my highschool basketball team 1v1 and I've been told that I would definitely make it to my highschool team. Right now I'm working out and training to hopefully make it to the G league regardless of what people say. Thank you for this video and hopefully I could make it by the time I'm 20
I Watched all 4 parts, great breakdown of how everything went! And Nice heads up on what I should expect when I tryout for the 2019 tryouts, Will definitely keep what u said in mind!
Hey im a 6'1 guard , I've been having thoughts on trying out for a g league team. Thanks for this video i will replay this video EVERYDAY so that i can remember what i need to do whenever i tryout for a g league team. I pray that i make it. 🙏🏽💯
I would like to know where the G League open tryouts located and how much does it cost for the tryouts I'll appreciate if you can get me some incite on that
Hey man anything is possible when you work hard. When I was in Middle School i was overweight and kind of the joke of the middle school team because I was bad and not athletic but I ended up hitting a game winner in a tournament game so I got more respect from my peers. (If you were wondering why I got in at the end of a tournament game was because we only had 7 players and 1 player fouled out and the other was injured) I found my passion for basketball after that and I started working hard to get in better shape and a much better player. Im still a little bit overweighht but I am good and I never gave up even when things got hard. You have a good frame to be really crafty and have really good ball handling and if you bulk up you can slash into the paint. Everyone has what it takes its just if they work hard enough to get it. Even though NBA isnt my goal I worked hard to just be respected on my now high school team. Keep Working I believe in you!
You’re only 14 bro, if you put in twice the work in as the top recruits in your class. By your senior year you’re gonna get offers. Be physically at your peak, but most importantly watch film, practice & master NBA translatable skills.
@@jareddudleythegoat7220 I came back and look at this message now am 6’1 147 I can dunk shot better I can handle better with my left and I have excellent defense now am best freshman in my school to😁 time really does fly😅
