Andys career kinda feels like one of those stories where someone makes a deal with the devil and asks the devil to make him funny. And he ended trapped in a world where no matter what he did everyone thought it was a joke. Like what if all his rude characters and getting into fights and his akward bits was him trying as hard as he could to not be funny and end his career but the devils magic just made it all seem like a joke to us.

Like there's a scale of on one side being the easiest, most comfortable, and saving face or having your ego feel good about itself(?) and Andy took it to the other end of the scale, which is amazing to watch, because you have to be so fearless... it's an act of artful brilliance.

I guess the ultimate art of being a "Troll" is to never be outed as being one. I discovered Andy Kaufman after watching "Nathan For You" which I think takes it to the next level, because the "platform" isn't a slot chat show but a while series (or 4 currently) in it's own right. Long may skillful trolling like these continue!

People hated him with a passion back then, not understanding that it was all an act. Others like myself got it, seeing this madman pull his little pranks on people and on national TV. I am a die hard fan and may be the only one to believe this but I truly believe Andy never died. It was his final stunt before retiring. That he pulled the ultimate Elvis impersonation in faking his death. Remember many people think Elvis faked his death. Sadly if he did, Andy can never come back because it would destroy his genius. I believe he said what needed to be said, made his mark on the world and is now living a normal life outside the spotlight. If you look deeper in more recent supposed Andy Kaufman incidents about him I think Andy may have been involved. I think he is giving weird clues he is alive and for a strange reason I also believe that in the movie Man on the Moon Andy played Tony Clifton at the end.

Where is Andy and his adopted children? It's been like 30 years now.

    That first joke was trash.
But the joke about "First time wreatling a man."
    That got me a little.

Maybe you just didn't get it. They weren't allowed to say those 2words in the kingdom. Think about it.
