Good lord, can't remember how many times I've resorted to your videos to learn about a given sector. A lot of what I know about financial institution valuation + real estate companies derives from what you teach here. Thanks so much for sharing this.
Hi Brian, great video with clear explanation. Good stuff.... Can you please advise where I can get the excel model that you had illustrated here? My Sincere Regards
my name is Harry Bisgaard, i am a private lender who give out loan to private and corporate individuals.have you been turned down by so many banks? do you need finance to establish your business? or do you need a personal loan?.Email us now::(HarryBisgaard1994@gmail.com) we offer loans with 3% interest,we give out loan from the range of $3,000.00 to $15,000.00. with the duration of 1 year to ten years.
I have to say, there is one very critical point. what if I take total assets of banks, which is also market and is higher than GDP of the country. Does it make sense than?
If the Total Assets exceed the country's GDP, you should probably use the GDP of a broader set of countries (e.g., Southeast Asia rather than one specific country in it).
Loan growth doesnt trend with GDP growth because most loans are issued for financial transactions like mortgages which are not part of gdp because no value is added.
There is still some relationship between loan growth and GDP growth. When the economy is in a recession, fewer loans will be issued. And I'm not sure what else you would use as the main macro driver if not GDP growth.

Hello, I want to dig into loan/credit growth forecasting, so which video I should watch next. Thanks
We don't have anything on that topic in this channel for now. There are other bank modeling-related videos in the channel.
@@financialmodeling thanks a lot

Please ignore my request for the excel model. I found it from the download links below the video. Once again, great presentation and explanation.
Thanks for the tutorial as always man!
May I know if you have made a video for the finished operating model of Showbrook as you mentioned here? 19:22
It's available within our Bank Modeling course. We occasionally release shorter samples in this channel.
Hi, can you share a tutorial on how to build assumptions and financial modelling for peer to peer lending company? Thanks
It is the same as a model for a commercial bank, but with different loan growth, charge-off, and allowance numbers.

Hi!! And how do you project deposits ??
Make them a % of Gross Loans.
Hi, 16:26 how can you multiply by Units (do you have to set up your own "Units" there)?
It's a named cell, defined at the top of the spreadsheet. Ctrl + F3 to name cells in Excel.
@@financialmodeling Thank you :-)
17:04 How do you copy those functions that quickly?
He wasnt copying them at 17:04, just checking the cells with tabulator
