The realism in this scene is unmatched. We all know amazing people who were taken too soon and too unexpectedly. We’ve all shook our fists at the sky asking Him how this was apart of His “plan”. The fact that his own son, The Devil, could feel so attached to someone that he too feels our human emotion is actually very good writing.

Father Frank made an impression on Lucifer. It made him a better being. It made him, shall we say it? More human.
I always wished Father Frank could have stuck around for awhile as Lucifer's spiritual advisor.

Slept on this show for years. Finally decided to binge it and am awaiting season six. It’s a roller coaster of emotions and has made me cry several times. It also makes me confront my past, present and future all at once. It can be a personal show for some of us.
This scene was very touching... The fact that hes the devil and he found a friend that's the complete opposite from him , idk it's just something that was very sad , and to top it off this version of the song
It's 2021. I've just started the show, after long since enjoying the music.
Man 3 episodes in, not only is the music spot on, but the actors have a place in my heart but on my shelf. And not do I already know, I'll ramble about this show, as a old man.
It truly is a beautiful work of art as a series, will forever be a classic

That episode got me in tears, i had childhood friend who was religious due to his religious parents and up bring and i other hand despise god and religion. It was our inside joke. We were 19 years old when he got cancer what no amount prayer or chemotherapy could not heal and two months before his 20 birthday he passed. This scene shows what i felt and i asked literally same questions and still do almost 10 years later, i hope my friend got up there, i would be really sad to see him hell when my time comes.

This song is a cleaver foreshadow that father frank dies in the episode after playing this earlier on. Possibly my favorite episode in the series and that’s saying something as there are a ton of great episodes.
His acting is Godly and piano is love

And Lucifer is still not ready to accept the truth- God gives us choices. We are free to choose. But whatever our choice, there will be consequences. The Priest had a choice. He chose.
Technically God doesn't give us choices he never has. The Devil was the one to give humans Free Will a Choice because he wanted to show God that with out his hand in the foray that humans, Us even though we are made in his image and are him we aren't perfect

Harry Baldino God gave us free will when He created us if he hadn’t we couldn’t have chosen to eat the fruit and fall into the original sin. Pure and simple sin is anything that goes against the law or will of God so it’s based on choices to do your own thing instead of following God and obeying Him

This show had it's moments. I love this scene. Not 100% convinced with the 'buddy cop' angle the series tended towards, but some of the more 'Sandman' character pieces were fantastic. Kind of stopped watching midway through season 3. Really looking forward to the new Sandman series though.

Here i am found this song a while back,(,brought me to the show.)
Was my father's favorite song. He endured 27 major surgeries, (to me he was a pots and pans robot, dude got broken so many times, but put himself back together).
As someone who played piano till a digital amputation.
I wish i would have made the time to share this with him. Always hated this song till i stumbled apon it in piano..
I couldn't help but laugh, when we were discussing what we should play for the three songs. His phone just blared it ( a random alarm he'd set with the song. So knocking on heavens was what everyone else heard. God was it funny, to laugh as others cried, or hat i wasn't, sad but....
Man did life line up how he would have wanted.

Lvcifer in great trauma fueling the ADVERSARY within, he has "father" issues. The opposite of love is indifference not hatred which indicates the *love* is now disguised as rege. Yet, it's just HOW his Creator has "son" issues. "Angelic" issues. "Human" issues. "Rulership issues ect. GREATEST issue is how He is loving to watch pain in the world continue to unfold and, though being All Mighty, and can help the pain (at least) yet does absolutely nothing. Oh, and not to mention his eternal grudge issues. The detective has more love mercy and compassion for Lucifer than 'God.' A Human Soul. And this is the way of another the "devil" thus HEALS. Love is the way not tyrannical-like absentee behavior. Shame on "dear old dad" for forgetting the wisdom of truth of what He (being "all love" ) should represent: Forgiveness Protection Agape Mercy and His knowledge to unify and reconcile that which was His First Creation and most Perfect on his light and gnosis. To be that special, Lucifer was indeed perfect inside & outside. More so than anyone in Heaven. Did that mean ANYTHING to this Almighty of all Praise and worship? So carelessly and painfully and quick as the speed of light, this "dad" threw his 1st created and favorite into primordial darkness and madness. Not with a light touch either, oh no. But in bloodthirst and the want for the greatest pain. Oh not for murder or of such forms of acts of shock in that he was Time to rethink after due to a "spontaneous anger." Nope. Just Pride. I care not how large it may be, it's the morale behind the acts. Pride. And bam! Wrath and Pain. Banishment. This is what not being the essence of love does it creates a tortured unloved aeon old soul and a thus, an eventual raging devil. Correction and 'punishment' can work through many ways rather than my personal perception settling for the desire of blood tears and pain.
I think if "dearest dad" was to be fully realized in the spun Mystery he instead sought after and seeks, Father the TRUE "Hidden Punisher," then people would have much more respect and love and blind trust because of all that He is REQUIRED to be SINCE HE IS the Greatest of all. And He SHOULD Act as such.
