    I loved this material set so much: I copied my character to a fresh save, to rebuild my main base from scratch. Just to use this building set.
    The materials, style, build pieces, and placables are all outstanding!

    Could you make a spooky kind of base using large spider webs in the build some how. Like the webs in the jungle or desert?

    This DLC is amazing looking except the sandals but there is many boots in the game. I'm doing a Hyperborean play through & this Gothic-Gaul-Germanic style suits the character. Chainmail is the main thing I want & the rocky castle pieces because this roughly how Hyperborean architecture is like.

    love this DLC....as someone who looks at base survival open world sandbox style games like this to build castles this DLC definitely fulfills that love-my only major gripe is how expensive the building pieces are

      I really wish they implement some sort of 'cosmetic illusion' mechanic for building. I kinda hate that all (except flotsam) dlc building sets are T3.

    I personally adore this DLC.
    As it is cosmetic, I am basing it on looks, of course. The gear brings no new bonuses, but Vitality Heavy Armour is always welcome for early kitting of thralls while feat points are still an issue.
    I like how the outfits look in general and they take dye well. Not so much the hand and foot wear tho. I'll often substitute closed toe boots and wrist guards but that's only for costuming.
    Weapons are fine to me, except the katana, for the Messer reason.
    The ornate look works as most decorational gear we have already is distinctly Mediterranean or farther East inspired. Having Ornate Northern European seems like a fairly vacant niche.
    I like the light saddle.
    The medium is ok, but the armour could have been more on the body like actual barding.
    The heavey, I think could have doubled down on the Dragon look and been a bit more comprehensive and threatening.
    They aren't bad. Just not my favourite part of the DLC.
    My favourite part...
    The build pieces/placeables.
    They play so well with other sets. They stand alone so well.
    They can be used to enhance other sets, they can be supported by other sets. Such a joy to build with.

      @Eradicati0nn 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The DLC is pretty great in the cosmetics department for sure. They nailed it with the building pieces & placeables imo, a bit hit or miss with the saddles, weapons and armour but still a great offering

    This dlc had potential to be the first 10/10 dlc imo, but there are a lot of missed opportunities, the messer as you mentioned, I would have loved to have the stone vaulted ceilings with that stone pattern instead of the wooden ones we got, any other bed from their design choices looked better than the one we got, etc... its still imo the best or second best schematics dlc, blood and sand being the only one close in comparison

    • @Eradicati0nn

    Currently the fences do no damage to players. I think if your just looking at this dlc for looks, then worth it, but any sort of multiplayer - pve or pvp, simply not worth till they fix the fences IMO.

    • @Eradicati0nn
      @Eradicati0nn 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That'll get fixed (hopefully) pretty quickly to bring it in line with the other T3 pieces

    The only nitpicky critique I have of this: Stone walls on timber foundation???? Just doesn't make any sense, though both look beautiful. My only guess is that this was somewhat intended as a counter pack for Seekers of Dawn, as they complement each other really well.

    • @Eradicati0nn
      @Eradicati0nn ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah it is a tad weird. I like the timber foundations, but I always end up pairing Nemedian with Stable Fence Foundations

    Yea I agree the horse weapons and armour are so under whelming and not my style, I'll be giving this one a pass. was hoping for a total shake-up of the DLC's that they put out with maybe a new map, etc as I didn't like the Isle of Siptha at all, or they way it worked.

    • @Eradicati0nn
      @Eradicati0nn 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A shake up of the DLC format would be really nice, but given that they're apparently already working on something massive for 3.0, maybe returning to the original DLC format will be worth it when that update drops

    • @zeriel9148
      @zeriel9148 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      New maps are a lot of work. I assume that's why Isle of Siptha was lackluster--it's like making an entirely new game. AAA devs take years to build new worlds, even when they are focused on producing them as quick as possible.

    • @keith4047
      @keith4047 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@zeriel9148 Sure if you have a small team of 2-4 people developing it, working in their spare time only, its going to take a year + to do a new map, as that mod of a new map "Savage Wilds" showed us, (and the video of the devs of same talking about it and how long it took em etc) but a complete development studio should not take any where near that long IMO.
