Allergic to bees. What bad luck. I cried whenever I watched this as a kid. Saw it the other day as an adult then cried again. Now I know why I'm such a weepy person. Don't how this to your children!
I think it’s ok for pre-teens and up. But I agree I wouldn’t recommend it for smaller children. My mom saw a clip of it on the cable channels growing up. Macaulay Culkin was my hero as a kid. I imitated him in Home Alone constantly. I then asked my mom if I could watch this movie but she said no because he died near the end and she knew how much I loved Macaulay Culkin. I was 7 then. She said I could watch My Girl 2 though because it took place after he died and Vada does mention what happened to Thomas J in the sequel so I wasn’t really that confused. I saw the original when I was 14. It was sad but I didn’t cry just because I knew what to expect.
Legit one of the most saddest, emotional movies I’ve ever seen.. swear I cried for like 2 days straight after watching this..

I just watched the movie. Actually I'm too late , but this a purely a full of emotions and calming. I wasn't expecting that tragic ending. Loved this one from the heart. I don't know after how many days I'm going to stop crying about this.

I love both part 1 & 2 of My Girl. Part 1 brimmed me with tears🥺& with Part 2 I cackled😂 especially at the end when Vada & Nick kiss at the airport.

Yeah the sequel just isn’t anywhere near as good because the story isn’t as interesting and Vada doesn’t have to deal with the same trials she did in the first film. The very best part of it is towards the end when she spends time with her moms first husband who she finds out about. If the movie had been more about that relationship I think it could have been great. Definitely not a bad sequel at all, because there are so many bad ones out there but still a step down from superior original.
I can't wait to see this movie.. just remind me what year it comes out, cos I think I'm seeing things.. It says 1991.. so does this mean I have to go back in time o_o

My wife saw this for the first time recently. I warned her that it was a sad film and part way through she said, “it’s alright just a bit predictable, it’s obvious the Dads going to die.” Half an hour later, “not the little boy!! 😭😭😭😭”

I was at Barnes & Noble and i just had bought my girl 1 and 2 double feature as a box set and paid only $10.00 for it.

I love this movie, but I think the trailer should have omitted the kiss. It would have been far more impactful if people went in not expecting that. A first kiss in a movie can be great if it's done right and here it's done perfectly, except that it was spoiled by the trailer!

@@ellie-tk4jy I was only 7 when I saw this and just assumed Thomas J had hurt Vada or something. But now that I’m older I see now. If he really did hurt her then she would’ve told him not come back ever but she didn’t. She said not to for at least a week.
