Sad to see those three go but glad to see that you and several others got footage of this move(would've been cooler with 3194 and 5623 coupled up though). Thanks for making this nice video. I honestly thought they left already but neat that it was otherwise. -Jon
If I remember correctly, it had something to do with how UP wanted the 2472 positioned on the train for maintenance purposes during the move, so it wasn't that easy.
They're headed to the Golden Gate Railroad Museum's new home in Schellville (Sonoma County). They were dropped off at Suisun-Fairfield for the NWP to pick up.
@@WestCoastRailProductions So there moving there whole muesem in Schellville? What about the left over track from Niles Canyon what are they gona do with that?
@@WestCoastRailProductions The NWP doesn't run the line through American Canyon, the California Northern does. Therefore, the CFNR will pick them up, then hand them over to the NWP.

It’s funny watching all the niles canyon and ggrm people play train.
I'm a Niles Canyon Railway volunteer myself (student brakeman) and we do have a lot of fun running this old equipment.
Are they going to a museum? What was the purpose of the move to fairfield?
GGRM is moving to a new location at Schellville, CA.
why didn't they just use the 5623 to shuttle the engines onto the interchange?
