I hate what they did to the Fuyuhiko/Kokichi interaction in the English version. Originally in Japanese Kokichi said that he actually feels uncomfortable looking like a child and saying “You’re so worried about looking childish. I am too at times and it makes me feel uncomfortable sometimes.” Which I found particularly interesting, but in English they changed it to him saying “I knew you’d understand!” When confronted with Fuyuhiko saying that he probably doesn’t mind looking childish and acting young too, like he doesn’t care?
True. I mean I like how kokichi is mature about it, or sounds mature in the English version, (I can relate to looking young as well), But showing that he feels a little bit uncomfortable with his shots appearance feels realistic imo especially reaction he may have towards Mius insults
There's a fan theory that Kaede is a fraternal twin of Natsumi and that she or Natsumi was sent off by one or both of their parents to be raised by distant relatives, since their birthdays are only a day apart, they strongly resemble each other and Tsumugi says Kaede had a younger twin sister, so if they were born around midnight, they would technically be a day apart.

I've seen a few people say that his bit in the future w peko is bad because he says he needs her in dr:s and in sdr2 ch 2, he said he doesn't need her, but I think they both mean different things-since they're in different contexts. Imho, I think he meant he needs her as a friend, and not as a weapon; as he's been telling her for so long. I don't doubt she'll go on to do her own thing in the future, because she has that freedom now. But I like to think he's asking her if she genuinely wants to stay close friends, and giving her the option. tldr I care them and this is a messy analysis I apologize

Toko in ultra despair girls? Also I would’ve liked if hiyoko got a redemption arc but sadly they killed her off right as she was starting to change a bit

He was an abusive prick with next to no redeeming features prior to his arc not to mention unlike most of these characters, he directly caused two deaths(Sato and Mahiru) and indirectly caused another two(Peko and Hiyoko), he was much worse than Hiyoko or Miu who even without an arc had a lot of positive features. I love Fuyuhiko but had he died during Peko's execution i wouldn't have given a single shit at that point
My Kuzusoda heart absolutely loves the scene with Nagisa. The idea of Kaz worrying for them and playing with/giving love to Jataro melts me completely! 🥺♥️
Yeah, it's that he wants to prove to himself that he's strong enough to defend himself and despises the fact that he has to be protected by Peko who he see's as a sister/lover (Take your pick though it is heavily implied that Peko had feelings for him which would be weird if sister). NOT that he needs her to share her strength with him.
I feel like Peko still didn’t feel like an equal to him…and that was sort of the end goal. Where he doesn’t like relying on Peko, but he still realized he *cares* for her, and that he’ll support her and she’ll do the same. I felt like that’s how it should have been? It felt weird…like he didn’t even gain confidence or anything, he just sort of was like-“welp, i guess I’m helpless!”

Maybe this event would have worked better if Fuyuhiko had completed his arc and was now more independent, but was now exploring how he could continue to be independent whilst still being able to seek support from other people. I.e. being able to accept help and support from others in a more normal and healthy way than the screwed up dynamic he had with Peko, and understanding that that sort of help exists and is fine. (I know there's not much emphasis on him being unable to accept help from others as a result of his arc, but it could still be something interesting to explore) And this would be especially true with Peko, if they're going to be equals (as the commenter I'm replying to acknowledged, there are two very opposing opinions, but friends at the very least), they gotta figure out how to support each other in the way friends do, without being antsy of it because of their history (i.e. being able to rely on each other whilst remaining as individuals, as they both understand that's a normal and okay thing to do and to need. And not being scared off any sort of reliance entirely by the fact that for most of their life their relationship was defined by one overbenefitting from the other and hating it, and the other being selfless to a very unhealthy degree and seeing that overbenefitting as normal and right because of a conditioned, unhealthy mindset)

Yeah even in the v3 killing game a few of Kokichi’s lines were changed to make him feel more ambiguous, and villain-like.
