As a lifelong lover of all music (or at least most forms of music classic rock, alt rock, punk, metal, jazz-swing to be bop to modern, classical, etc etc) as well as a guitarist, I can honestly state with all honesty that this tune (in its many arrangements even) is among the best compositions I have ever heard, one of my all time favorites...always brings a smile to my face and gets me moving. Maybe its because my mom always had a local radio polka show on Sunday mornings, but I really just l LOVE LOVE LOVE polka music and always will...and reggae/ska too!!!
My late dad used to play this on his accordion all the time. We were estranged the last 20 years of my life, but before the split, I introduced my dad to Walter Ostanek who happened to be performing at Marineland, near Niagara Falls. I think it was one of the happiest days of my dad's life. He worshipped Walter and Franki Yankovic. Happy Father's Day, dad........RIP.
When you're down and looking for some cheering up Then just head right on up to the candy mountain cave When you get inside you'll find yourself a cheery land Such a happy and joyful and perky, merry land They've got lollipops and gummy drops and candy things Oh so many things that will brighten up your day It's impossible to wear a frown in candy town It's the mecca of love, the candy cave They've got jelly beans and coconuts with little hats Candy rats, chocolate bats, it's a wonderland of sweets Ride the candy train to town and hear the candy band Candy bells it's a treat as they march across the land Cherry ribbons stream across the sky into the ground Turn around, it astounds! It's a dancing candy tree In the candy cave imagination runs so free So now Charlie, please will you go into the cave!

I must be shifting alternate realities or something. I was surprised to find out Walter Ostanek is still alive. He unfortunately passed away on my timeline. I remember the tributes in the media
Hey Walter Polka Dziadek ( klarnet ) is my favorite I would love to see you plaing on buttom box , Thanks , keep it your way , and keep smile :-) Leon from Grimsby Ontario.
@Venupowuh YES! I am not alone! Though, I still have no idea how I came to this from MLP...I mean, all I can really think of is Charlie the Unicorn....which is similar to ponies (in the fact it involves unicorns)...but that's beside the point...
SpongeBob: Any super awesome trip to Germany has to begin with the Hofbräuhaus. Patrick: It's a rule there. SpongeBob: Uh, no it's not. Patrick: I'm pretty sure it is. SpongeBob: No it's not!
Impressive. You can hardly see him move his hands.

Hahaha I just let out the stupidest laugh ever
Your comment is so profound! Allow me to translate it into Southern: "...You cain't hardly see 'im move 'is hands, nohow!"
